Marmalade & Co. has opened in downtown Gaylord serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. Taking over the space at 138 W. Main St. in late May.

The food was delicious, and the portions generous so it made it a great value as well. All the staff were supper nice and the cooks did an amazing job. When we left we bought some baked goods to go, which was a great idea because they were delicious. I highly recommend you stop in and try it yourself!
Update: Went back again, food was somehow even better?! The restaurant was packed but we still got our food fairly quickly and our waitress (as well as a few other’s) was very attentive. Can not recommend enough, don’t miss out!

The butts table will not soon be forgotten. It was anxiety inducing sitting so intamately close to where people were standing. Food was fine but the service was lousey.

Food and service was amazing! We stopped in on a busier Saturday morning but were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and did her best to make us feel like we were the only table she had. We got one of the classic breakfasts and the biscuits and gravy. The homemade biscuits were to die for and the sausage gravy was some of the best I’ve ever had. She got the banana bread with her meal and it was so moist it was amazing. All of the staff was super friendly and I can’t wait to come back.

We visited on a Sunday morning – Let me say, our server was wonderful. Other servers were unorganized, 1 young gal in particular exaggerated her “overwhelmed” status so that anyone she was passing by was aware. Mumbling and huffing, though they seemed to have adequate waitresses. The tables and chairs are a 70’s style patio set style. It took about 35-40mins to get our breakfast after ordering but the food was very good. Overall, not a bad experience and we’d revisit.

We had breakfast today here. The food was hot, fresh & served quickly. Pricing for the portion size is good. If I could make any recommendation it would be to add Splenda & marmalade to the tables. Our waitress was great. Look forward to having lunch here soon!

My wife and I loved the restaurant that was here previous and are thrilled that another has opened that is of even better service! We were seated quickly, our waitress (Lyndy – who was awesome) was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was excellent. Ate breakfast here on 6/12/22. Had heard mixed reviews from friends and family, and high hopes since the owners were cooks at Gobblers Restaurant in Gaylord, MI, a well known establishment. Experience started out great, friendly staff and good customer service. However, I received my marmalade French toast about 15 minutes before my guest who wasn’t informed until I received my dish that the item she ordered was not available. A replacement was made (quiche of the day), and it appeared to have a store bought crust, was an incredibly small portion, and flavorless. My French toast arrived within 5 minutes of ordering (what seemed to be too fast to be made to order). It was cold to touch like it had been sitting out and not served hot, or fresh and made to order. Will try the restaurant again since they’re new, but given the feedback I was told, was unfortunately not surprised at my own experience.

Definitely will not be going back. Ordered an omelet with a kind request of no onions which they said they could easily accommodate. Forget the fact that we waited 90 minutes for an omelet to be cooked… but it arrived with onions in it. And the cream cheese had dark black hair in it that came for our bagel. The service was horrid & staff were rude. I asked someone for butter for toast and they just turned & walked away, so I got up to ask again & she said “I heard you the first time…” but never acknowledged it & never brought butter. Yikes you guys. Things are not well here. A lot should change to even remotely compare / compete to other restaurants along historic Gaylord strip. 1 and done for my family.

Have been here 3 times and the food was great every time! My husband and I are both huge fans of the marmalade french toast. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the service has not been up to par with the high caliber of food that they serve. Staff seems slightly unorganized, and not willing to work as a team.

Very good service and very good food. My Sunnyside Up Eggs were cooked Perfectly. My girlfriends Omelet was so good that she didn’t even speak until it was gone. And that Never happens!! Thank you to everyone involved in our dinning experience.
