The food was good! The pancakes were good size and super delicous. I got the dark chocolate macadamia nut with bananas and it did not disappoint. The waitress was very attentive and very kind. It definitely was a cafe type of enviroment with many people chatting and the waiters bustling around, which I liked. I highly recommend!

We couldn’t even stay for a whole meal – we had apps which were fine – and left, afraid of what else was to come. Mojito was awful and we sent it back , but it was on our check so we had to ask to take it off. People left and right complaining about their food (spaghetti and meatballs and pea soup and bean and kale soup). Guac was good but chips meh. Service is all over the place and very disorganized. We won’t come back.

Food was good but not great. French toast bread was too thin for French toast. Fruit was good. Bloody Mary was amazing.

I’ve been to different Marmalade Cafe locations & at this one I got the hazelnut latte, extra shot espresso with almond milk. It was still delicious but a tad too sweet for me, perfect temperature.

Amazing dining experience. All of the staff were nice. Food was tasty, sooooo good. Huge serving. French toast has 3 slices of bread with berries and bananas. Had the hot vanilla latte and hot caramel latte. Corned beef hash with bagel, 3 poached eggs and potatoes…

All the 1. Star reviews are true! Poor customer service. Bare minimum- we are normally very understanding and patient but this was bad. I asked for a Mimosa, forgot my ID. Totally fine, so instead I ordered a mint non-alcoholic drink. My bf and I ordered chicken & waffles and a breakfast burrito. Very simple options. The chicken came out cold, the burrito came out without salsa. I asked for salsa, the server who did not share his name- went to get salsa dropped it on the table quickly and left to grab something else. Doesn’t say a thing. I pick up the salsa- it was so HOT. It burned my thumb. No exaggeration. My reflexes kicked in, and I drop it- the salsa spilled on my thumb and on the plate. The ramekin was STEAMING. My thumb was burned from HOT VERDE. When is salsa ever hot??! Why didn’t the server warm us it was hot? The server was nonchalant, stating “normally it’s not that hot”. So they made it especially hot for us I guess? On our way out servers and were cutting me off to get to the kitchen. We did not feel welcome and I was so uncomfortable. Awkward host. Careless staff, no manners. We were excited to eat, very disappointing experience. And the burrito tasted like cafeteria food. Would not recommend. Basic food- tourist feel. Rude energy throughout this place!

7/24/2022: Malibu location for breakfast. The GOOD: the food saved this review. Namely the egg, mushroom frittata with fresh sourdough for toast was a homer; rate it 10/10. The salmon eggs Benedict was also good but was cold, rates 7/10. The BAD: the service. While no one was rude, it’s as if no one is in charge. Started ok with taking the order and then went down hill. 5 different people had to be flagged down for various things because when something was dropped off at the table the staff careened over to another table to drop something else off. Things I had to motion staff over for included: thanks for the coffee but need a spoon to mix things with. Cream, wasn’t given any even though it was ordered. Bring more cream because the thimble sized container is only enough for one and there are more of us. Water, straws, coffee refills, jam, to go box. No one asked, this was all us raising the hands for help. Be proactive.

Marmalade Cafe offers good size portions. Today, we had the classic eggs benedict and the breakfast tacos. Each came with 3 portions and a side.
