We were pleasantly surprised with this establishment from the outside. It doesn’t look like much, but when we walked in the atmosphere was live, the service was great. The food was incredible, and yes, we will return when we are in the city of San Francisco. You guys rocked out on atmosphere and food. Everybody loved their plates. Thanks again.

I was surprised at how good the food was here. We tried one of just about everything. The brussel sprout chips were probably the worst and that’s just because eating the tiny chips seemed impossible. Everything was delicious. Service accomodated several changes and additions to our party. Overall an excellent experience. Oysters, scallops, lamb all fantastic. I don’t even like lamb, but fall off the bone delicious.

Stopped by Marlowe for lunch. Interior, while fairly small, was very nice, comforable and clean. We were a bit ahead of the lunch crowd so only a few other tables filled when we arrived. Service at first was quick but disappeared as lunch went on. Lunch menu is pretty limited, so we both ordered the Marlowe burger and added fries. My partner asked for the horseradish aioli on the side since she can’t stand horseradish. When our order arrived, the waiter pointed out that hers was on the side I dove into my burger only to find he had gotten the order backwards, much to our chagrin. We switched orders rather than calling him back. We had asked for our burgers to be cooked medium. Now I know “medium” can mean different things to different chefs, but these were cooked a lot closer to medium rare. Overall, though, a pretty good burger, especially with the bacon. Fries were nicely cooked and tasty. Service disappeared after dropping off the food. No checking on how we were doing, no drink refills. Prices were about what you would expect for the City. In conclusion, a decent experience.

I had lunch here as soon as they opened, service was mad fast. Food came out fast and the presentation? Was nothing short of great, I got the fried chicken sandwich with no bacon on it with fries and a salad, it is slightly pricey, but I’ll tell you now they work for it. My glasses stayed full, the servers and staff is very tentative, I would recommend other try this place out because the good and service is definitely 5 star status!

We came in for brunch and everything was so tasty. We tried the heirloom tomato, egg sandwich, infamous burger, scrambled eggs, and polenta — not a single miss on the table.
My boyfriend and I often come here for date nights, and it’s just as good during the day. The food is consistently delicious, and the vibe is cozy and lively.
Pro tip: make a reservation! It gets super busy, especially on weekends. Can’t wait to come back again!

So glad to see this place survived Covid. Came into the neighborhood after many years. Same vibe at Marlowe, great food, drinks & decent service. They still gave almost the same menu – their burgers are phenomenal. I ordered the salmon it was epic!

Really incredible. Everything was amazing but I recommend the steak tartar with bone marrow, the pork cheeks, and the polenta. This night was special. My wife is disabled due to a terminal illness. She has a movement disorder, difficulty communicating, and difficulty doing things on her own. The staff was so accommodating. We do not get to go out to eat too often these days. They treated us like everyone else. They never made issue about getting napkin after napkin. Or picking up silverware dropped. “Normal” is important when it is difficult to have those moments. The staff at Marlowe gave us a moment. Thank you.

Came here with a techie friend, after spending Mother’s Day here. The place is with quality, staff is knowledgeable with services. I sensed a bit of arrogance in my both visits, maybe because it’s all male wait staff except the hostess. The arrogance somehow adds to the authenticity to the ambiences. Good was unquestionably great!

Greeted by a manager at the door. Requested a table for one. After a long awkward pause he led me to the row of tables adjacent to the bar where no one else was sitting. This was done intentionally, convinced the manager didn’t like my Sleep heavy metal t shirt. Ordered the Marlowe Burger medium rare, fries and a ice tea. The burger was delicious with sautéed onions, bacon, shredded lettuce and horseradish cream. The fries were outstanding, crispy, flavorful, not overcooked at all. The ice tea was not good, sent it back.
The server/manager disappeared on me. Ran out of water, went to the bar to get more water. Had to wait awhile to get the check. Overall the food is very good, but the service is really lacking. That stunt of seating me away from other patrons was disrespectful. Based on the service alone I will not be going back
