Nice portions. Medium priced for today’s market. Friendly staff. We ordered chicken fried steak with sides and the pollock and shrimp. Also ordered the carmel roll and cinnamon bun. Not a bad price at like 4 bucks each.See pics below.

The food at Marlin’s is consistently excellent, with a menu that balances comforting classics and fresh, flavorful options. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the dishes are prepared with care and presented beautifully. Portions are generous, and the flavors are rich without being overwhelming. It’s clear that quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation are at the heart of their kitchen. Favorites like hearty omelets, savory burgers, showcase the restaurant’s commitment to satisfying every appetite.

Nice place to eat. I had the pot roast and my husband had the country fried steak breakfast. It was a lot of food for the price. The food was delicious. I got two more meals out of my dinner. It’s hard to serve the amount of pot roast in the image but it was a lot. Waitress was nice and attentive. Will be checking out their buffets [weekends only] soon.

This place was amazing. The food was just downright scrumptious. You could tell everything was homemade handmade. However, you wanna put it completely delicious. The ranch was amazing. The cheese curds were downright phenomenal. The service was top-notch. They were extremely nice and we didn’t have a long wait they hooked us up with Superb pieces of pie. It was not overly greasy but just enough grease I am absolutely stuffed and I can’t wait to come and order here again sometime thank you so much for this amazing meal this place we will talk about to our friends for the rest of our life.

Solid breakfast, friendly vibes… and a mystery in the men’s room ☕
Marlin’s is a great spot for breakfast—tasty food, good portions, and prices that won’t make your wallet cry. Service was friendly and fast, which is always a win when you’re in need of coffee and carbs.

Everything we ordered hit the spot, and the whole place had that cozy, locals-love-it vibe. It looked like they’d just wrapped up an epic Father’s Day feast too—wish we’d been there for that!

Now, one odd detail: there’s only one toilet in the men’s room. Just one. For the entire place. Why? No idea. It’s like a breakfast-themed escape room challenge.

Still, if you can time your bathroom visit right, this place is definitely worth the stop.

Do not sit in the first booth to the right. There was a towel wadded up in the vent directly above the table from an obvious leak. Don’t sit customers there. How unsanitary. Waitress was friendly and brought me a fruit cup because they do not have gluten-free toast. The food was okay. One hole bathroom.

Yo do not go to this place after 1230 at night. Especially if there is an old lady cooking. She is very rude. A coworker and myself both work at Trail King and just getting off at 3am we decided to go to Merlin’s to get some breakfast, we are hung5we just got paid. We ordered our food and with the first 2 plates she slams them a little on the counter. My coworker asked for a side of biscuits and gravy and then asked if he can get it to go right. Well the server who is very nice by the way took his biscuits and gravy back to the cook to put it a to go box and you here her mouthing off. Next thing I know she takes a stack of pancakes that I ordered and literally slam that plate on the counter. It’s only coworker and myself in the restaurant no other customers and you could hear that plate get slammed like she is mad. Like why are you gonna have such an attitude and be a cook. If you don’t like your job then quit. Anyways needless to say we will not nor ever go back to Merlin’s.

Our server was excellent. Stopped there twice, going and coming to visit Mt Rushmore. It was definitely worth it. I’m sorry I can’t recall or server’s name at the moment but he was so friendly and so well versed in the menu, as well as the area. He was very cordial and helpful to make suggestions without being overbearing. He was just perfect. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him out the service that he provided us. Also the food was fantastic!!

This was mediocre at best, and that is being generous. I was enthusiastic about the venue because it had that great exterior family/greasy diner vibe where I just knew the food would be great and the server would be fun. I was wrong. The server was friendly, however, I felt rushed to order, the check was presented before I asked for it and then she stood over me while I processed the payment with the credit card machine. She was on top of refills. The fried foods tasted as if they had been cooked in very old/not changed oil and the Reuben sandwich which was starred on the menu as a specialty was bland and overcooked and the outside of the bread tasted burnt from a dirty grill.

My husband had the patty melt and it was amazing! Not many people can make it right. This place perfected it! I had the country fried steak and that was the best I have had! The portion was not too big and not too small. Seasoning was perfect!! The staff was so great! It was busy and yet they all had a smile! Highly highly recommend this place! Thank you for an amazing meal and having such amazing staff!!!
