The ambiance of the establishment, combined with the culinary offerings, is truly remarkable. Notably, Chef Jay demonstrates exceptional skill and expertise. She took the time to recommend the finest oysters available, and the service provided was both prompt and outstanding. I visited this location twice within the span of one week, primarily due to the excellence of Chef Jay and the high quality of the food and beverages. I would highly recommend this venue, easily rating it with ten stars if possible, as it offers a unique atmosphere and an exceptional oyster-tasting experience.

Had such a great time! Keith and Ben took excellent care of us. We ordered “the Davidson” and it was a great value that came with oysters, shrimp, lobster and crab. It’s a neat setup as it’s attached to King Canary Brewing; you get food on Marlee Jean side and drinks on the brewery side. Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excited for a rare date night and left disappointed. Very $$$ and food and drinks were just “OK”. Crab dip (pictured) was lacking crab, the charbroiled oysters were the smallest oysters I’ve ever had, and the hamachi crudo was good but not great. Recommend you skip this place and visit Kindred around the corner for a better experience.
*** Update *** there was no other way to respond but we were not given options to choose our oysters when we ordered. Just the style and you were out of the one we wanted so we ordered the Chorizo Butter. We like the menu overall but were underwhelmed by the food that came out as well as the fact that we had to get our own small plates, napkins, etc. but still tip (appropriately) the food side and bar staff. We would be open to giving the restaurant another shot to try other menu items.

We were there for the second time tonight. The food was wonderful: recommend the halibut and grits, enough to share BTW. The flatbreads are awesome, again enough to share. Gracious staff and wonderful location in partnership with King Canary brewery in Davidson. Difficult to describe how wonderful the food and service is!

Had dinner here last night with my son. All I can say is WOW!!!
I am so hesitant these days to go out to eat and even more hesitant to try somewhere new. Seems like every where I go average at best is what everyone is shooting for.
Not Marlee Jean’s they were exceptional. From the warmth of the staff, to the amazing flavors and quality of the food.
We did not want for anything and the staff made sure our entire visit was on point and took care of our every need.
If you want an incredible meal, served by wonderful people please give this place a try.

The Ahi Tuna Wontons are out of sight, the Sourdough Flats, Lobster Rolls, and specialty Oysters are unbelievable. The homemade dessert hand pies are enough to leave the house just to get one before they sell out.
It has a Laid-back vibe with great service, music and is a place where you can bring your dogs if you would like. Large outdoor patio with umbrellas and lots of great seating inside. King Canary brewery shares the space, making it a perfect spot for an icy cold IPA or summer cocktail.
The kitchen staff always goes out of their way to make sure each plate has its own unique flavor and presentation. Keith is the man!! The cashiers are always very friendly and knowledgeable. We give this place an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10!
