Pulled off the ten looking for a taqueria and saw this place had good reviews. The building is huge but on the inside it’s cozy, with curved walls and nooks that break up the space well, so you don’t realize how big it was. We arrived too late to sit in the dining room full of sumptuous banquette, but the lounge was cozy. Everybody there was super friendly and the server, Ashley, was very accommodating when I wanted to mix and match. She steered us right with the juicy ribeye and the prime rib, with fresh and prepared horseradishes, and the chicken pozole was excellent, too, spicy without being too hot. The enchilada was like something my grandmother would make, but she’s Irish. I’ll definitely be back, I’ve added Marla’s to my restaurant list on this LA / JT route

Let me start off by saying the California Chicken is off the chart from my point of view never had a problem with that it’s always consistent….. The last couple times I’ve been going it’s been semi busy never had any problems with the waiters or bartenders overall it’s a great place I think. This was my first time here but my best friend comes regularly. I was very happily surprised I must say. I was not in the mood for Mexican food and she had said they served Mexican American but still I wasn’t sure. I decided on the Grilled chicken salad with no tomato or onions and ranch on the side. First of all our server was very friendly and attentive, secondly my order came out just as I ordered it and thirdly the flavor was spot on. The chicken was moist and grilled perfectly, the lettuce was cut in bite size pieces, all the ingredients were obviously very fresh and in just the right amounts! I would absolutely eat there again. The restaurant and bathroom are clean, has a nice vibe and is also easy to get to also. If you haven’t tried it give them one

Poutine was surprisingly great, classic margarita was good too. Sister and I each got THE fish taco off their food lab menu. A few bucks more to get mahi is the only way to go, it’s grilled and tastes great, the breaded cod was soggy with minimal fish, skip that. Saw some huge burritos/chimis and good looking relleno. Nice service, colorful restaurant and otherwise fresh ingredients, I’ll be back for more!

The Mexican Pezza was delicious for an appetizer. Big enough for 4. I had the shrimp burrito very tasty. We also tried the mahi mahi with mashed potatoes and veggies. Very good. Food was excellent and service was great.
