This spot is a popular local bar-restaurant, decent for a quick visit. Don’t expect the upscale feel of a big-city restaurant, but the atmosphere is fair.
The Tuesday steak special with two sides is worth checking out—$16. The steak was slightly overcooked, but still juicy enough to enjoy. For that price, you really can’t complain.
The fish and chips, however, were disappointing. Even the larger portion with four pieces of fish felt small compared to other places, and the so-called fresh-cut fries were dry. At least the Guinness was poured fresh.

Went in on a Wednesday afternoon. Not many people sat for dining. Got a table right away. The server, Rebecca, was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of the entire time. I had the Ribeye steak with sweet potato fries and broccoli. The soup is served before the entree. Everything tasted great. The steak was cooked perfectly. I tried their Pub & Pub Porter. Very thick and delicious nitro stout. Bar was kinda busy. Overall amazing experience. Would recommend.

Had a great experience at Market Cross Pub. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also tried the seared tuna appetizer and it was amazing. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. All the food came out perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a visit

I’ve been going here since I attended Dickinson College in 2007. I’ve made a point of stopping in at Market Cross many times since graduating. I can say definitively that the food and drink are just as good and that it was not just low college standards to think so back then. Their wings are as good as anybody’s and their fish and chips are huge and tasty. Also good for a burger and a beer. The beer passport is a fun too.

Me and my daughter came here for an early dinner. We shared the pretzels and cheese. They were ok the cheese temperature was on the colder side of it was hot it would had been a better experience. She had the chicken pot pie and I have the cottage we shared. They were very good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The music was very loud and hard to talk over, and also they had the football game on and people yelling, idk that was on in the dining area thought that was only car area. Food was 9/10 and service 10/10

I was staying near by on work and came in for dinner and drinks. The Beef tips were very bland. But I did see some awesome food go by me. The drinks made up for what I selected for dinner.

The best, a classic downtown pub that you gotta know a guy (but not really). Super fun looking place, tons of drink options, and incredible food. They brew their own too!

Visiting Carlisle from Wisconsin. I’ve eaten at several places around town, this was the BEST! Food was superb! Drinks were poured well. Service was great!
I will definitely be returning!
Get the cheesesteaks. They also have many other great dishes in their lineup.

Been here a few times, think I finally found my favorite meal – the Price of Cambridge. The picture attached is a take-out order I got. The last time when I got this, dining in, it was with sandwich bread, I think I liked the sandwich form better than the sub breads. I did replace the Swiss with pepper jack cheese as well. But love their fries, always good! We also got their Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad, which was overall pretty good as well
