While on Main Street it occurred to me to look a little further off the street to see what was close by. Wow. This place is what you would not expect to find in an older house on the edge of a neighborhood. I’m So glad we searched a little more and was rewarded for it. The atmosphere is fun and the service is outstanding. But the food takes the lead as it should. The bisque is a great starter. The Ahi tuna is really fresh. But the pork was melt in your mouth delicious. Really great seasoning and tender. The plantains are soft and moist. The wine is delicate and aromatic. The presentation is first class. The deserts are fantastic. The chance to meet the chef made it extra special and he is a super nice guy. Very personable as is his staff. Take the time to walk just a block off main and you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy

Marker 39 is a rare gem in the Tampa Bay area! If you are going to be in Safety Harbor, you need to check it out. The ingredients are so fresh and the flavors unexpected and complex. The Nemo roll was the perfect bite of salty, sweet, crunchy, and pickled with a touch of heat. The grouper special needs to be a regular on the menu- as a foodie – the word that came to mind on the first bite was not PG enough for this review. It was THAT good. I strongly encourage you to save room for the Key Lime creation. I didn’t, but I got to taste a little bite and it was the equivalent of a sweet, tart cloud. Sublime. I can’t wait to come back and try the other things on the menu. Chef Justin’s culinary creations are completely unique and his staff were a delight. #SupportLocal

A wonderful Sunday brunch, with food prepared by somebody who knows his stuff and knows that, as the Japanese say, “We eat first with our eyes.” Beautifully-prepared, beautifully-presented and imaginative and wonderful combination of flavors and a menu filled with delicious “twists” on traditional dishes. Even with a side of great fries and a coffee and iced tea, less expensive than most places. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I don’t think you could do much better than this intimate and welcoming chef-owned HIDDEN GEM. It’s a great spot for a date night or any time you are looking for phenomenal food with impressively good flavor combinations.

We were fortunate enough to get in at prime time on a Friday night. This is a cute little place with real, fresh food. We started with the Pappas rellenos and I had the Cuban pork crisis. Everything was fresh and delicious. They had some good beer as well. I will definitely be back.

Really cute place in safety harbor! We had a wonderful server, Jenna, who was an absolute delight on Friday night. Highly recommend the Nemo roll appetizer or the calamari, both very good. Really enjoyed the jerk chicken as well! We will be back.

The Hand Cut Calamari, Pan Seared Mahi Mahi and Key Lime Mousse (depicted here) were wonderfully seasoned and very flavorful. I will return here again and heartily recommend this restaurant!

The menu selection which we viewed before heading to Marker 39 was interesting and we were excited to try the restaurant’s version of a paella. The restaurant was a pleasant place to be; the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating and the decor was lovely. I ordered myself a glass of wine. I enjoyed the wine and the food was ready quickly. Unfortunately where it went wrong and why I have to drop my rating to three stars: The paella was not even enough food for one person, unless that person had eaten something else before getting the paella. It was $32 dollars, which is $3 more than what is displayed on their menu online, and we had decided to only order the paella and see how we felt about ordering more food. My spouse did not care for the flavor combination of their paella, while I enjoyed it but was disappointed at how little food we were given. There seemed to be little more than a quarter cup of rice and then a broth with a variety of seafood and chicken (we asked for no chorizo), and two plaintain chips. The variety of seafood included was excellent in my opinion but we just needed more food, especially for the price and with the notion that this is labeled as the restaurant’s version of a paella. We decided to take the check and go elsewhere to eat as we were worried that we would order another meal and still end up hungry.
