We love Marjolaine! I frequent the bakery with my baby and look forward to the croissants, teacakes and other baked goods. We decided to order my son’s first birthday cake from here and were thrilled with what Arlene and her daughter created. The cake itself (raspberry shortcake) was absolutely delicious. But the cake design was the talk of the party. They designed it with my son’s favorite books, it was above and beyond. They were so thoughtful to also provide a mini smash cake for him! I highly highly recommend Marjolaine for everyday treats and special events!

I have been enjoying Marjolaine for 28 years! Yep! All these years of croissants at my door steps – I used to live a few doors up the street. But not just the croissants, pains au chocolat and palmiers, the cakes too. When I have guests, or I need to bring something to a party, my favorites are the fresh fruit cake, and the chocolate mousse, but also the lemon butter cake….and also anything custardy. Check out their website. Everything is delicious. I once requested that they made a huge Napoleon cake for a company party. It was a huge success. In all these years, I don’t recall ever being disappointed. Just go, you won’t regret it. Life is too short not to enjoy a good cake. + Everyone is so kind and the ambiance very warm and lovely.

So basically I have ordered this cake last year. This lady gave help me on the phone of what type of cake I want, it’s basically a simple cake that feeds 10 people, red velvet cake with whipped cream and strawberries. I did asked the lady in the phone how much that’ll be and She said it’ll be 35$. I did told her since I’m throwing a surprise party I’m going to pay next week when I get paid and she said she’ll write a note to let her other co workers know. The following week I called to pay for the cake on the phone and who ever was on the phone with told me it’s going to be $45 I did told them the lady on the phone last week said it’s going to be 35$ and she said no its 45$ so I was just already exhausted from party planning so I just paid for it. So the next following week I have sent my sister to go pick up the cake and once she arrived the the party and I looked at the recipe it says I was charged 95$ for this cake… I felt like I was took in advantage because like I was planning on a party and I seen good reviews from this placed and the cost for a cake at this bakery for 35$ was reasonable but someone else claims it was 45$ but charged me 95$… the cake was good but I dont think I’ll ever pay for a cake at a bakery ever again because of this type of situation… I have been thinking about this every since I seen the recipe and not having time to contact the store about the problem and since it been longer than 3 days and I haven’t forgotten it I have to write my review because I don’t want anyone else getting scammed like I did…. The picture below is the cake I have order. As you can see it’s simple I added the number 23 myself, it’s not that type of cake that looks crazy good and have hella details on it to be 95$

Excellent shop, they did a fantastic job on our daughter’s birthday cake. Everyone loved how it looked and the strawberry shortcake inside was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend going to them for any special occasion cake.

Read great reviews, so I ordered a Marjolaine cake for my birthday. When I arrived, they were having some technical difficulties with the cake setting, and it wasn’t going to be ready in time. Instead, the baker offered any other cake in the display for free, plus asked me to come back in the morning to get the original cake as well (also free!) Both cakes, chocolate mousse and Marjolaine, were truly AMAZING and I was so grateful for the service so that I still had a delicious cake on my birthday. The pastries in the display also looked delicious, and the shop is very cute.

What a delight, we had their chocolate mousse cake. It was luscious – rich, moist and satisfying. They sliced pieces for us to eat there and we took the remainder home. They even thought to put a candle in the slice for the birthday honoree, we hadn’t thought to ask for a candle. Their creme brûlée is delicious, too.
They have some games to play, too. We did not use them but another family did.

I’ve been going to this pastry shop for over 30 years, that being said I’ve always loved it, loved their products, etc. etc. however Stopped in over the weekend and got a croissant and a (pain au chocolat) chocolate croissant, Both were very tasty albeit on the smaller side , but come on guys $11.68 for two small croissant? Totally outrageous price.

only good things to say about this place <3 at the beginning of the week I had called this shop to place an advanced order of chocolate covered strawberries for Mother’s Day. The owner was so so sweet to let me know that she would love to under the circumstance that they were of high quality. Right away I appreciated her honesty and values♥️ loved loved loved the customer service and when I got there the atomosphere blew my mind!! They even had a small section where they sell trinkets, clothing and handmade soaps all at shockingly low price points. Thank you Marjolaine Pastry Shop you have a loyal customer now ♥️
