I had no idea that Mexican Sushi was a thing?
The first time we ate her I ordered sushi with The Al pastor and the shrimp ceviche. and my future mother in law ordered some tacos. The second time we tried the Tampico Sushi and shared the ceviche.
I promised the waitress I would highly recommend the restaurant. i The food speaks for itself and it brought come back twice.

The campechana was great. I got the small and it was a good portion. Plenty of shrimp and octopus. I asked for no Oysters. The flavor was great..I usually have to drown it in lime..but didn’t with this one..they gave me a Serrano sauce and tostada as well. The tostadas were salty and very crunchy. I enjoyed them. The cucumber was fresh and crunchy. Amazing. The Jamaica was cold and had great flavor. The ceviche was delicious and the sushi surprised us. The rice was almost overcooked tho. The service was good. The music was great. Parking can be tricky. The only thing we didn’t like was that the menu doesn’t show the price. But it wasn’t a bad price for everything when it came time to pay.

The service was great, our waitress suggested some dishes to help us narrow down from a large selection of mariscos. we decided to go with her suggestions and they didn’t disappoint. I wanted a lot of spicy and she brought out a green salsa that cleared out my sinuses. I couldn’t stop eating .The flavors were on point. Super fresh will definitely be going back.

Great food, excellent portions, and the best zarandeado fish I have found since moving to the South Bay. The campechana was delicious and filled me up before the fish arrived. The fish was almost as long as the table. The meat was firm and juicy. The skin was crispy and flavorful. The preparation takes a while, but it is worth the wait if you have time!!!

This San Jose, Mexican-seafood restaurant located in the iconic Tropicana Shopping Center now boasts expanded menu options and they now take credit cards.
At times the blaring live banda music can be so loud that you can’t hold a conversation with the person sitting across the table from you.
For some folks this is a fun thing, for others, not so much.
The place can get crowded on weekends. Wait staff is mostly spanish-speaking.
Worth a try if you are in the neighborhood and craving a spicy aguachile dish.

Firstly, the server did not come to take the order for first 25 mins. Had to walk over and call them for taking the order after which it took them another 15 mins to come to the table to take the order. Food is expensive. The music was too loud for a restaurant almost felt like a bar/ club. Good if you want to celebrate birthdays/ special occasions w friends and family. But I would not recommend if you’re hungry and want to peacefully eat satisfying food. Limited menu options. The owner was nice enough to give us complimentary vodka shots for the delayed service though.

The food here is amazing, authentic, and served in large portions but can be a bit expensive. The place seems to be like a club at night, with onsite music.
