If ultra-fresh seafood is what you’re after, Mariscos Puerto Nuevo absolutely delivers. The seafood here couldn’t be any fresher—even if I had caught it myself. Every bite tasted clean, sweet, and perfectly prepared.
The service was just as impressive. Our server, Jaime, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, guiding us through the menu and making sure everything was spot on. A pro tip: sit upstairs if you can—the sweeping Pacific Ocean views make the experience even more memorable.
We ordered the large lobster platter and the garlic octopus and shrimp platter, and both were outstanding. Portions are generous, making this a great place to come hungry. On top of that, they bring out complimentary ceviche, picante, and salsa fresca, which were fresh, vibrant, and the perfect way to kick things off.
Between the quality of the seafood, the warm service, and the unbeatable ocean views, this spot is a must when you’re in the area. I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m anywhere near Puerto Nuevo.

Great food and very welcoming waitress (Jaime) went above and beyond. Not to mention that they make home made flour tortillas on the spot not like other restaurants that just reheat .

We stopped here for lunch and it was a good choice ( especially with all the other restaurants begging for us to stop and park) our waiter was very friendly and very informative with helping us make our decision. The food was delicious and the Fish soup was amazing with big chunks of fish. Very large portions of food and the home made flour tortillas are enormously huge and delicious. We will definitely be back for dinner before we leave.

Best Lobster meal I’ve had in years. I come often to Puerto Nuevo and really enjoyed my meal here. The food was fresh and Jaime gave excellent service. I like the fact that they accept credit cards here. Puerto Nuevo was very slow today probably since its close to the holidays. This is the third time I visit this establishment and it didn’t disappoint.

WHAT A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE! The food was EXCELLENT and the staff EXCEPTIONAL! SOOOO friendly and inviting, we immediately felt a home. We were only in town for the day for a dentist visit and we ended up there TWICE in ONE day! BEFORE anesthesia and AFTER ! IT was THAT GOOD!
We ate the BEST TORTILLAS in our whole lives! Handmade with SO MUCH LOVE! The rice and beans came straight from Heaven! The lobster was succulent and scrumptious! The margaritas were prepared by a TRUE MIXOLOGIST! We just had the ABSOLUTE BEST time and we will DEFINITELY be back! Simply beautiful

My boyfriend and I came to Mariscos for some lobster (of course). We had tried a couple of different spots during the weekend but this was one of our favorites. Jaime was our server. He was full of great energy, gave lots of recommendations, and had us laughing a lot. The view from the second floor is beautiful and most importantly the lobster was sooo good. We also got a dozen oysters and they were soooo fresh. I recommend coming here for sure! Enjoy!!

Every time I crave for lobster I don’t hesitate to take a drive down south of the border to Puerto Nuevo. I take the toll road and just take the scenery in driving down the coast looking at the Pacific Ocean. Mariscos Puerto Nuevo is a small restaurant and their food is very flavorful. They give you a complimentary plate of fish ceviche that is very tasty. Everything I have ever ordered here has never disappointed. If you go down south try this little gem.
