First time visiting this restaurant in the Waukegan area with the family, upon arriving, live bands were playing which added to the atmosphere as we dined in to watch. Food was quite satisfactory—well-cooked and great quality. quesadillas were some of the best I’ve had in a while and the beverage I got being the horchata was perfectly balanced—not too sweet or bland. Despite the loud music from the speakers and subwoofers, the service was quick and attentive. A nice spot to visit, I’d return though next time I’d come for a more casual dining experience.

Having been a customer for years, before their fire, I’ve always enjoyed the authentic Mexican food that is prepared.
Now that the facility has been completely rebuild, it is nicer looking and clean. The group of people that I brought in were able to select from a wide variety off the menu.
The menu is not the typical or average menu one finds at every ordinary Mexican restaurant to satisfy the non -Hispanic clientele. This food seems to be the real deal. If you enjoy good Mexican cuisine then this is the place to visit. It is in a strip mall right on Grand Avenue with easy access.
The room is large with banquet tables throughout because they cater to Hispanic weddings and other parties. This is the only down side to dining here. There is a stage and complete sound system that is played extremely loudly even when there is no catered party going on. It is so loud sometimes that you can’t hear anyone talking at your table.
I think this is the one thing that keeps this restaurant from becoming very popular.
Otherwise the food is delicious and authentic.

I walked in to order food hungry and they onle had 1 lady and her daughter in the whole restaurant but it took over 15 minutes to get me a drink. I walked out on them as they were walking with their drink for me because they were just sitting there chatting with another client while I was just waiting thirsty. I went to the place next door that had way better service.

My husband and I dined here after spending the day at Zion Beach, and we fell in love with this restaurant. We are foodies and this place has the best seafood!! We were highly impressed with the food. The Micheladas were delicious as well. Definitely recommend it! Waitress and seafood chef were super nice and helpful. They deserve 100 stars! We live in Alabama, and this will be our go-to restaurant when we visit family in Round Lake Beach.
