I was surprised how good this place was. Everything we got was delicious. Service was great. Lots of options on the menu. Place is super spacious and clean. I’d come back if I’m around the area.

The Micheladas were decent—solid start to the evening.
We ordered the Molcajete Azteca expecting the usual accompaniment of rice and beans
The meat itself was chewy and rubbery, lacking any flavor or tenderness.
Instead of real chorizo, they served hotdog. At that point, we refused to eat it and asked for the check.
They charged half the menu price for the molcajete—but still billed us full price for rice and beans we didn’t eat.
Service was poor: after pointing out the hotdog substitution, there was no apology or offer to fix it.
Overall, it felt like a bait‑and‑switch—and a bad one at that. Subpar food, misleading charges, and no customer care. We won’t be returning nor recommending this place for birthday dinners—or anything else.

This place is overall astonishing. From the great scenery, to the amazing service, and the delicious food, this restaurant really surprises me. I had to take all my family and friends after only trying their food for the first time. This place definitely is outstanding and I would recommend it for everyone.

Update: Back after 4 years ago, decor has changed slightly, empanadas were just how I remembered. Got some churros this time around, lady at the counter was genuinely friendly and helpful.

Food and service were excellent. I had a tostada mixtas with fish ceviche with crab, octopus and shrimp on top and the mojara frita, which is a whole fried fish. Wish I would have visited this place a long time ago. I will definitely be back.

Order 2 plates with filet of fish al ajo, we got a very small filet and the beans it was just water from the beans but no beans for 21 dollars per plate, definitely Not worth it. Won’t be coming back.

Service is horrible, waitress are slow and when you get your bill double check it. Because the menu is not what you will end up paying. Then when you question the bill they tell you ” it’s taxes” lmao So you pay double taxes for the worst service.

The food is good, the molcajete is really good. Drinks are good, especially the Micheladas. Don’t really care for the live banda but I guess thats part of the atmosphere. Overall a very decent Marisco spot.
