Looks like a place many workers near by come for lunch. I went during lunch hours and people poured in. It’s a decent space for groups. The young lady was very nice and was able to answer any questions. Instead of salsa and chips they serve ceviche. The ceviche just neededa bit of salt but it was good. We also ordered guacamole, but it didn’t taste fresh to us. We asked for jalapeños to be added they weren’t. My friend had the shrimp fajitas. She said they were good. I didn’t taste them. I had the fried red snapper with spicy garlic sauce on the side. The red snapper was fresh but by itself needed seasoning with the spicy garlic sauce it was perfect. My friend went back the next day and got the red snapper.

Came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Had a reservation for 6, it wasn’t required for a Thursday night as there were plentyofavailable seating.
Food was delicious, ordered a few apps, oysters, agua chiles, empanadas and ceviche tostada. Mains were Mojarra, Molcajete Fabuloso, Mar y Tierra Molcajete and Mar y Tierra El Compadre. The steak in the Mar y Tierra dishes were ordered medium and let me tell you, they were cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The drinks were great, not water downed like most places.
Definitely recommend and will go back!

La Costa delivered a fun and flavorful seafood experience – starting with a solid ceviche, followed by a massive entrée loaded with shrimp, crab legs, mussels, scallops, and bold seasoning. The standout dish was the octopus, which was tender and super well seasoned and truly memorable. A satisfying meal overall and great spot for seafood lovers!

I have finally found my favorite mariscos spot in Chicago. After many restaurants have gone for a more trendy and modern approach to Mexican seafood lately, I’m so happy to have come across La Costa. This is the kind of place were you’ll find the traditional seafood dishes we all crave every once in a while. I had their langostinos and their filete a la crema, I definitely recommend both. Staff is very friendly and the drinks were very good too. I can’t wait to be back.

I had the most amazing dish here with shrimp, octopus, and mussels cooked in coconut milk. The platters have generous portions and are definitely shareable.
