Seafood was good definitely, not coming back for the birria! Paid 37 for a botana and the lack of shrimp and serving was totally different from the picture on the menu! Oyster shots were ok nothing special about the spot! As a first timer here I won’t be coming back unfortunately the lack of the attending by the waiter was the deal breaker!

I am impressed by how clean El Viejon is! Normally, seafood restaurants have that unpleasant smell; not here! I recommend the ceviche. It is fresh, full of flavor, with a hint of sweetness, and the sauce they drizzled over the top is delicious. Order the chamoy margarita. You won’t be disappointed. If you’re really hungry, you can’t go wrong with the quesa birria tacos; they’re gigantic! To top it off, El Viejon serves homemade tortillas. I can appreciate the extra effort.

Seafood was good. Non seafood dishes were a little disappointing. Really dry burritos with very little meat. The place is probably a great bar at night from the looks of it but not very inviting during the day. I was with good people though and the service was strong.

I was visiting the Boise, ID area and of all the places I’d eaten at around Boise and the surrounding area, this little gem in Namap, ID is hands down the best restaurant yet. I ordered two (2) Tacos de Birria and they did not disappoint; they were large enough that one (1) was plenty for me, but I was just as happy to take the second one with me. The tortillas were handmade and everything just melted in my mouth. I also ordered a Paloma and it was delicious! The service was attentive and the atmosphere was laid back; a gentleman was even walking around singing/performing. I wish I had found out about this place sooner, so I could have eaten here more often during my stay.

Decided to take wife here for her birthday dinner on Thursday for happy hour. Didn’t have high hopes that the food would be good do to fact it wasn’t busy. But I definitely was wrong. Best Mexican food in nampa. Definitely recommend.
