This evening, my daughter and I drove 155 miles to dine at MARISCOS. Let me tell you, it was absolutely worth every mile. We’re already talking about when we can come back.
From the moment you walk in, the experience feels welcoming. It’s seat‑yourself, and we chose a cozy spot by the window. Within moments, we were greeted with chips and beans, followed quickly by our drinks. The service was exceptional throughout. Our server was upbeat, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. I trusted her recommendation without hesitation because choosing just one dish was nearly impossible! Everything sounded amazing.
I ordered the California burrito filled with asada, smothered in both red and green sauce. The house salsa has the perfect kick, spicy enough to wake you up, but so good you keep going back for more. My daughter had a birria taco and pollo enchiladas, and both dishes were just as impressive.
The portions were generous, but the food was so good I made sure not to leave a single bite behind. Great place for a family birthday dinner. We had excellent service which is sometimes hard for a large family party. The food arrived quickly and was as everyone had ordered. It was probably the best mole burrito I’ve ever had. Great salsa and beans with house made chips which were replenished throughout the meal. We’d absolutely eat here again.

My wife and I had the steak fajitas and a margarita each. We each had a sip of the margarita; it was a mixture of lemonade and margarita flavoring. We didn’t have another sip. The steak was bland and dry. The beans tasted as if they were out of a can. Maybe they had a new cook or an off night, but I can honestly say it was the worst fajitas and margaritas we have had. The service was good; the waitress was hustling and covered many tables.
