I got the deep fried red snapper. It was good, not a lot of flavor, I used a lot of like on top. You only get two corn tortillas, but they are the best that I’ve had in a very long time. Will go back to try their menudo some day.

Great food. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and chimichanga. Both were delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service a bit slow but don’t let that stop you. Totally worth it.

Terrible food we ask for fish fillet with garlic and fried tilapia with garlic. The fillet was extremely greasy and the fish was no flavor are all we don’t touch the food and returns. We complain but nothing happens. We ask for the check and they charge us the 2 orders. The Owner tell us we need to paid because on Lompoc all the restaurant never do a returned very very bad customer service specially for the Owner. We never coming back to El Palmar Restaurant Lompoc ‍♀️

I ordered a Mar De terra burrito. Which is shrimp and steak. I asked them not to add onions nor beans. Strike 2! They must have read EXTRA onions and EXTRA beans. Yes check your food before you leave. I returned to work only to find this mass execution blaaaaaaa. I called back to let them know, they said they could remake it if I brought it back…damn I guess the cook wasn’t bi lingual. And that kitchen floor needs sum scrubbing bubbles……not recommended. To Manny good places out there.

I normally don’t even write reviews, I just had to because I was so displeased with the food for $13. I ordered the taco Tuesday ‘special’ which consists of two regular sized tacos beans and rice and a drink which I didn’t even take. At home I tried the first taco, the meat is dry and overcooked and had a big chunk of fat in it. The beans were soup and rice we’re nearly tasteless. With so many choices in town I will never go there again.

Great affordable food. Service was great, the server was really friendly. Nice little mom and pop place. I would absolutely come here again. The food was authentic, portion was large. Every bite was flavorful

The food was awful. My husband had the Carne asada, it was very dry. Sad to think that the best part of his meal was the grilled onions. I had the shrimp enchiladas, the sauce tasted out of a can. But the rice was ok. It is embarrassing to have people think that Mexican food tastes that bad. The service was good. Nice waitress, very attentive. But the food was way too expensive, $42 dollars for okay rice, tasty onions, bland fish tacos, and awful everything else… waste of money! never again. Don’t recommend to anyone.

Plenty of choices from seafood to burritos and tacos. Their carnitas de chile Verde was delicious. Friendly staff, tasty food and reasonably priced.

Best shrimp tacos, bar none!
It’s rare that I go to a restaurant and order the same thing every time, but the shrimp tacos are so amazing and unique that I never order anything else.
They don’t deep fry them, they chop em up and grill em, put them in a fresh, homemade corn tortilla, put a bit of a ranch type dressing, cilantro and onion. Simple. Perfect. Delicious.
The refried beans are great as well.

The owner, I believe his name is Juan, but we always called him Leo is always there, always grilling and always very friendly. Not sure where Leo came from, maybe because he first set up shop inside the old Lenny’s bar (Now Johnny’s) but he seems to talk to nearly everyone.

As I’m writing this review some other patrons were paying for there order and I heard them say “best Chile Rellenos in town.” So maybe I’ll try them next time, but I don’t know, tacos.

Wasn’t sure about traveling to Lompoc for this one but let me tell you, don’t look like much but the shrimp and octopus tostada’s are legit. My wife had shrimp enchiladas with green sauce and they were fire too… Refried beans are legit homemade Tortillas are made onsite.
If you want great Mexican that’s very reasonable this is the spot!!
Be prepared the sign is missing on top of the roof but it’s here
Staff are very friendly and helpful too.
