I recently visited El Capitan and had an amazing dining experience from start to finish.

We ordered the Parrillada Número Uno and the Chiles Calibre 50, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Parrillada Número Uno was the standout dish — it was loaded with a generous variety of seafood, including grilled fish fillets, Culichi shrimp, chipotle shrimp, devilish shrimp, and octopus in garlic sauce. Every item was flavorful, well-prepared, and cooked perfectly.

We also tried the Chiles Calibre 50, which consisted of six yellow chilies stuffed with shrimp and topped with melted cheese. They were rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying — a must-order if you enjoy bold flavors.

Portion sizes were very generous, both with the food and the drinks, making it great for sharing. The restaurant itself was nice-sized, very clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Overall, El Capitan is a fantastic spot for quality seafood, great service, and a comfortable dining environment. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

Stopped here early Friday for a job celebration. First time in so we got some of the staples to enjoy.
We want to return to see more of the show and have more of the bites. I can see how this is a fun place to hang out and enjoy good food and bevs

The price reflects the great quality of the food. This is my second time and it’s getting better every time so far.
I’m taking off one star because I made the mistake of coming on Thursday night. Oh boy live music so loud I couldn’t talk or hear the waitress. The volume was unnecessarily high for such a small place

Don’t fall for the high prices at other Mariscos restaurants around this area!!! This place is thee honey hole! A/C is kicking and need less to say the fish is super fresh… great atmosphere for families and I rolled in solo to the bat and was amazed!!! You ain’t ready!

Fantastic spot recommended by multiple friends. Got there on 12:30 on a Sunday in July, so we waited 30-40 minutes for a table for 2. The hostess thanked us for waiting and we got a booth. Margarita was great, cantarito could have used more citrus. The oyster shooters were delicious. The shot glass is frozen so loosen the oyster with your fork. Shrimp cocktail was banging. The house marisco sauce was perfect and our friendly server, David, recommended putting crema on the tostadas provided. Great selection of sauces on every table. La Jefa had the Tacos Ensenada made with grilled cheese tortillas, one fish and one shrimp. She loved both, but the fish was #1. I had the Capi-Piña- fish, shrimp and octopus in a mild, pineapple cream sauce. No room for dessert!

I love the “cucaracha” style shrimp from here. Can’t find them anywhere closer to me, so a 1hr 45min drive is worth it. The sushi is good too.

This place is delicious. If you love Mexican Sea Food, this is a must stop. Servers are awesome, they continue to stop by even after your food has been served. I tip, regardless if tip is added to my check.

Keep up the good food and service…

If you haven’t tried the “cucarachas” at Marisco’s El Capitan, head there now but don’t go during the lunch hour because it’s always crowded! Super fresh seafood with an extensive menu. Food and service were superb and I gave it a 3 for atmosphere because the sports bar scene is not my favorite. Every table in the restaurant had a plate of cucarachas which are head-on butterflied shrimp with an amazingly delicious spice blend. One order easily feeds 2-3 people.

This place is definitely a vibe, the staff will get a rush of customers and still smile and do their best. They have live music towards the evening, which gives this spot an extra popularity at dinner hours.
If you don’t like loud music while you’re eating, I wouldn’t recommend coming here on the weekends at evening time. The food is delightful, the ambiance is great!

The food is great! Service was a bit slow, but that was because of the live band they had. Beware… the music is loud!! If you are not into live bands, visit the restaurant before 6pm.
