I ordered a Camerones y Pulpo, and was disappointed by it’s lack of flavor, the undercooked octopus and the dry “tostado” (that was brought to me later, when I expected it to be under the meat of the dish). The dish itself was gravely lacking in flavor so I tried a couple of the disappointing hot sauces and some salt then cooked the $13 dish down. The chips and salsa brought gratis before the meal were inedible; the chips dry and too hard, the salsa looked like a cup of green water, without substance. When I asked for a different salsa I was directed to the platter of 4 bottled hot sauces, including the one in the cup. I tried each and found them unsatisfactory. The restaurant is in the corner of an “Indoor Swapmeet”; nearly impossible to find as it was without specific signage. The greater meet us with a menu and pointed us to the menu above the “fairground booth” counter. The only atmosphere was the overloud DJ’d music and the seething crowd of an afternoon Swapmeet. When we responded in the affirmative to the question of drinks, we were directed to another booth and charged $4 for a bottle of Coke, which both directed me to another booth for a $5 smaller bottle of Diet Coke. On the bright side the fish tacos my brother ordered were good, however the only flavor was in the fish itself. I did tip the greeter/waitress because she did her best and was nice. The total bill including tip and drinks came to $42. I shall not return nor suggest this restaurant? !
