First, we sampled a shrimp soup which was flavorful and a bit spicy. Then, we shared an order of Sushi Pura Vida. It was very good, it tasted like a Mexican California Roll made with shrimp instead of crab. For an entree, I had the Camarones Crema. There were lots of shrimp in a rich, creamy chipotle sauce. My friends had the grilled bass filet and Tostada Tuna La Isla. Both were good, with fresh fish.

10/10 service! From out of town and saw this restaurant from the freeway. On our way back, we decided to stop and eat here for lunch. Absolutely no regrets. Food was fantastic. I ordered the sushi costera which happened to be $6. Great deal! The owner even approached us to ask how everything was and was so kind. We celebrated birthdays and they made it so special! I will never stop talking about this place because of my experience and recommend it to everyone!

Absolutely LOVE this place! Yolanda was our server and she couldn’t have been anymore helpful and welcoming to me and my family. She was quick to cater to our needs and was always checking on us to make sure we were getting the best service! The food was super delicious and the workers are so friendly overall!

Today was my family and I’s first time here and we were absolutely pleased with everything! The environment was very welcoming, bathrooms were clean and our server, Melissa was extremely kind and helpful. It’s my parents anniversary today and I told her and she brought out the waitresses to celebrate it, it was amazing!

We had a small hiccup getting the kids’ food out, but honestly—it turned into a blessing in disguise. While we waited, the atmosphere carried the night. The music was lively, the food was worth it, and my kids ended up having the time of their lives. They jumped right into the fun, dancing and even joining a conga line that went around the entire restaurant—through the dining room and even into the bar. It was hilarious and unforgettable.
This place is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Great food, great vibe, and family-friendly energy that makes it easy to relax and enjoy. Families, you need to give this spot a shot. We’ll definitely be back!

Finally opened in Gilroy. We have been waiting for opening of “Mariscos Costa Alegre” in Gilroy, Ca for over 1 year. We ate lunch on Labor Day on Monday. It was excellent foods and drinks. A variety of seafood and traditional Mexican foods. Located next to Best Buy where Chilies restaurant use to be. Highly recommended. I have also eaten at Mariscos Costa Alegre located in San Jose is also recommended.
