The food here has completely taken me by surprise. My friends and I got the seafood eggs benedict, raspberries and cream waffle, meatloaf omelet, chicken schnitzel sandwich, escargot, and scallops. I would definitely say get the scallops, chicken schnitzel, and the waffle!! The biggest surprise and main highlight was the scallops for me. I loved the chicken schnitzel but the fries tasted a bit dry/bland. The waffle isn’t crispy but more on the fluffy and soft side. I would recommend coming here for lunch!!

Sarah the server was amazing she created a bloody Virgin Mary loaded with steaming hot shrimp and bacon that felt like it should’ve been a meal. But it was the appetizer before some incredible blueberry pancakes very large with an exceptionally tasty compote of blueberries lavished on top. Came with three pieces of bacon and two eggs over easy. For $17. It was Christmas early. But tables around me were ordering food and there was a crab and crusted halibut with a side of linguine that was not worthy and I would like to return to try the beef brisket Benedict and the brisket is smoked in-house. You should try this place too. Old town Florence is all Pacific Northwest charm on a rainy day that the doctor ordered.

In every city visit, I diligently search through various portals to find a reliable restaurant with good food and ambiance. With mixed feelings of worry and excitement, I found this restaurant, which carries the owner’s name. I thought, ‘How could a restaurant be bad if it carries the owner’s name?’ So, I chose it for Sunday brunch. As usual sit at the bar, and the visual appeal of my ordered dishes immediately raised my expectations. The omelet and Eggs Benedict both tasted incredible! The omelet had a perfect balance of cooked mushrooms and spinach with the right amount of eggs, and the hash browns were ideally crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The temperature of the food was just right, and the Hollandaise sauce on the Benedict was at the level of a top-notch New York restaurant. Although I briefly thought the sauce could have been slightly better, the restaurant offers exceptional value for the price range. The dishes felt nourishing, and I don’t even want to use the word ‘but’. The food was excellent and truly had the touch of a mother’s lovingly prepared meal. It was evident that the dishes were prepared with care, so I asked the waitstaff and found out that the mother does the cooking while her son serves the food and tends the bar. They were very friendly, and although I didn’t expect much when I asked if they could make me a half-size Bloody Mary cocktail as we were nearly finished with my meal, they kindly made it at half the price. The house-made tomato base and vodka gave it a lasting spicy and smoky flavor, which matched my taste perfectly. Thanks to this, I was able to spend the rest of my Sunday in a good mood. I plan to visit this place often and highly recommend it to others.

11/10! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I got the Crab Encrusted Halibut and my boyfriend had the Chicken Marsala. We ate every single bite, and they were BIG servings. Cannot recommend Mari’s enough! The staff was all so kind and the environment was lovely. We hope to go back very soon!!

Pork schnitzel was so delicious, I’m pretty sure I dreamed about it last night. One of the best meals I’ve had in Oregon. The staff were an absolute treasure to work with too, so kind and funny. Little place in Old Town Florence with a big heart and great home cooking. I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich with fries which was very good. She had the Reuben with meatball soup and ate every bite. Our friends had the pastrami with salad and loved it. Great staff – even lending out her glasses so one member of the group could read the menu! Highly recommend.

Mari’s was a nice surprise. A small place on Bay Street that we thought was cute inside. We were able to get the table in the front window. The server was very polite and friendly and informative. The food came out quickly and the presentation was great. I had the Seafood Alfredo Pasta and my wife had the Shrimp Melt. The seafood was all cooked perfectly. No rubbery, chewy over cooked scallops here, they were nice and tender as was the shrimp and fish. We felt the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend Mari’s.

Nothing against our server, as she was kind and welcoming. However, nothing could make this food worth it. I cannot believe they served the stale fries and that they charged $23 for a tasteless salmon hoagie with wilted lettuce. Very disappointing.
