I don’t have a lot of good things to say about the Pizza the crust was already made and came in a frozen box. They take out the dailies that they need. None of the Pizza dough is made by hand it’s all come from Cisco, fruits. We also had meatballs that were very fluffy. If you will, there you had no intensity whatsoever to them, not very tasty, our flavor flowed as well. The hot wings I had were breaded hot wounds that after they were deep fried. They were soaked in sauce, so they were really Buffalo when you say they weren’t hot wings, so I’m not very fond of this type of Wayne. The sauce was just Texas peat. I asked for all flats, I’ve got most all flats, except for one wing drum that I didn’t care for I don’t know the wine was good. I had a meal for 4 of us. We had one Pizza. I saw the meatballs, a salad that we shared in 6 hot wings and with the tip, it was $80, I probably wouldn’t recommend you stop here unless you’re local, but if you’re passing through town, I would continue looking at all for a better place fir dinner.
Our server was great.

Great place! Went here after a long day of kayaking on the nearby river and stopped here after. Very welcoming, great atmosphere and great service. Meatballs and pizza were very good. Definitely recommend stopping in. Great little place!

was really excited to finally have a local pizza shop here in Edgefield, but unfortunately my wife and I were disappointed with our order. For the price, we were expecting something a bit closer to authentic, high-quality pizza. Being originally from the North, maybe our expectations played a part, but the overall flavor and experience just didn’t meet what we were hoping for. I truly wish this establishment the best and hope things improve moving forward.

This place is great! The food was very good. The atmosphere is nice, roomy with a decent bar and an awesome communal high top in the middle. This alone is a very attractive feature as it encourages social engagement with others within the space.
We had a really good time on our first visit. We tried the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious; I wonder where they source the sausage or if it is made in-house. Either way- spot on! We also had an eggplant parmesean, which I had to order due to it’s seasonal availability. It was amazing. Perfectly fried thin slices of FRESH eggplant with a delectable marinara and my favorite of all cheeses… pecorino romano; magnifico!! We also had a pizza – tried the Conner Pesto and it was brilliant. Crust was great, toppings were perfect. This pie was cared for and we could taste it!
Also ordered some seasonal coctails that simply iced the cake. A seasonal Apple Butter Old Fashioned for me and an Apple Cider Sangria for her. Both were exceptional if that even covers it…
We can’t wait to come back to Mario’s and might try to make this 30 minute trip a regular adventure. Edgefield has a lot of good restaurants and we (all of us) need to support them all!

We had Stromboli and the eggplant parmigiana. Both were huge portions and tasted fabulous. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere. We definitely go back.

Mario’s Pizzeria was pretty good. Crust was light and almost flaky. Atmosphere of the place was pretty good even tho they were playing country music, even our waitress said that’s not the norm haha. The pineapples on their Hawaiian vacation had a great flavor that popped.

It’s like finding an urban pizzeria in a Flannery O’Connor novella, only better. As a transplant to Edgefield County, I’ve come to love it’s people, and now I know where they hang out on the weekends. The pizza is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I might have to bring our adult son next weekend. He’ll love it too.
UPDATE: Had an EVEN BETTER TIME last Saturday (13 April) than the first time I went a year and a half ago. The pizza was perfect, the appetizers tasty, and the Hopsecutioner delicious! There was a live act that night (Jim Barnnett) who new a ton of great 70’s/80’s folk, rockabilly, and rock songs we could sing along to. The owner took time away from bookkeeping to visit with us about an hour. It was great to get to know him and more about his pizzeria. I love it even more than the first time! And … we brought our adult son with us this time. He loved it too.

Tasty! The bruschetta and stromboli were good, but the sweet mother clucker pizza was superb! There was also a good selection of cakes for dessert.

I’m in love with this restaurant! Maybe a little too much. The atmosphere is wonderful, the decor and building style is beautiful and the service is always great. At this point, they all know my order as soon as they see my face. The Maui Wowie is my favorite pizza by far, but I’ve really liked the others I’ve tried so far as well. I haven’t gotten around to trying the sandwiches yet, but the garlic bread is a must try. If you haven’t already stopped in, you’re missing out!
