Mario’s Pizza is a local, family-owned restaurant chain serving authentic NY-Style Pizza, Stromboli, calzone, Italian dishes, subs, salads, appetizers, and desserts. Brothers Vinny, Mario and Tony, are from and grew up in Brooklyn. They’ve always been in the food business. Thanks to their Italian origins they love and know a thing or two about making pizza! Speaking of pizza, if you haven’t tried the delightful NY-style, now is your chance. Crispy, yet chewy, it’s hand tossed and baked to perfection in our specialized ovens. We have Mario’s locations in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Clemmons and High Point. Our sister store, Tony’s Pizza, is in the Charlotte and Hickory area.
Local pizzeria chain serving NY-style pies, plus pasta, subs & wings, in a casual setting.

The pizza was served quick and tasted very good. They serve beer and the bathrooms were clean.
Trying out new places for a meal definitely breaks up the monotony.
We happened upon this particular Mario’s towards the end of the week.
It was so good that we went right back 2 days later.
A very low-key, comfortable, and relaxing vibe was what we found.
The staff members were exceptionally friendly. The restaurant was very well maintained, as were the restrooms. Everything was handicap accessible.
I’m from Philly, and my co-worker is from NY.
We tried the pizza, Stromboli, Philly Cheesesteaks, and the Cajun seasoned fries. All of these menu items exceeded our expectations.
The pizza had a thin crust and plenty of toppings. The Stromboli came with sauce and cheese, and you picked 3 additional stuffings to complete your order. There was not a single vacant space left inside.
The Philly Cheesesteak came with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. We chose to add some extra cheese as well. The roll was toasted with a nice crunch. But the inside was soft enough to hold everything together.
Suffice it to say that we were both very impressed with our orders.

I asked about it and was told that food safety says up to 5 hours he can use this pizza. I told him I did not want old pizza and asked for a refund.
I proceeded to watch him take the slice he had just warmed up for my child and put it back on the tray.
Better to be safe, then sorry and at the hospital or sick from food poisoning and who’s knows what else . Nasty
Meat Pizza: 4/5 stars
First Hiccup: When I called the restaurant they were unable to tell me what brand of vegan cheese they used. I ended up calling another location to find out they use “Glenview Farms” vegan mozzarella. It was a brand we haven’t tried, so we decided to give it a go.
Vegan Review: ordered the Greenhouse, no mushrooms, added pineapples with vegan cheese. The order was fulfilled correctly, but it was just meh to eat. Dough was baked well, but the cheese was mediocre at best. The veggies seemed fresh but the overall pizza lacked flavor and was a bit “off”. Maybe it was overpowered by the fake cheese? Honestly, not sure we’ll come back but if we did I’d be more likely to order cheeseless in hopes for better flavor.
Meat Pizza: the omnivores in the group enjoyed. Said the ratio of toppings to cheese were good but the sauce was a little plain. Dough also baked well.
(2) 19″ pizzas lasted the four of us for multiple meals. Likely could have shared a single 19″, knots, and salad and everyone would have been well fed.
