This was my first time trying Mario’s. I was so excited they had Arroz Chaufa and I added chicken. They made it quickly and you get a good amount for the price.
But I’m really disappointed in the rice. It barely has any flavor. The chicken tastes great. The rice taste like white rice cooked in chicken or beef broth. It’s definitely lighter in color than pics in reviews. I’m hoping it’s a one off.

They were out of American fries when I visited. Half chicken with dark meat and a double order of yucca fries was enough for 2 people. It came with 2 great sauces. There is a self order kiosk inside.

Went there for breakfast at 7 am. I work nights so I cannot visit during the day. The chicharrón breakfast sandwich was amazing. Full of flavor with a cup of coffee. I also had the cheese sandwich. The goat cheese was very tasty but the sandwich was dull. Perhaps needs to be heated. Nevertheless, I put it on the air fryer at home and it was delicious. I got me a whole chicken left over from the night before to make soup but I ate a few pieces while cutting it and it was so good. The chicken is flavorful with very distinctive spices. Highly recommended during lunch.

Mario’s Peruvian Chicken is a hidden gem in Mount Pleasant! I had the 1/4 chicken with coleslaw and yuca root fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with that signature Peruvian flavor that’s hard to beat. The coleslaw was crisp and refreshing, and the yuca fries—wow—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seriously addictive. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. If you’re looking for bold flavors and a great meal, Mario’s is the spot!

We just got here from Tennessee for a short vacay and came across this gem.
We ordered the whole chicken to share between the 3 of us along with yucca fries, white rice and green beans. The chicken was on the dry side but it was so delicious. Not enough for us to fuzz over. It was so seasoned and dip it in their sauces and you’re set!
And while you here, don’t forget to grab their homemade juices. So refreshing!

I am Peruvian however being fair and honest this place is 0 zero to recommend. Bad quality. No fresh ingredients so greasy food and the place is unpresentable (ugly) the menu is not varied. I ordered a mostrito, the rice chaufa only had green onions and boxed eggs and a lot of oil and soy sauce. the coleslaw was rancid old . I am a cooker so I know about food. that salad would have been stored for a couple of days or was without proper refrigeration. the coleslaw was pickled. I order delivery when I take in house call and am at the hospital for 24h+. This place is incredible. Chicken was still hot when it got to me downtown from MTP. Hugely flavorful cooked to perfection and while the delivery window was long, it arrived basically on time. 10/10 will order again.

Just left Mario’s Food excellent! But the best part of our meal was Connor. Excellent customer service. I was having difficulty ordering through the computer. I’m a senior not that savvy. Connor picked up on this. He made me feel so at home. The menu suggestion were excellent. I have to say the food was also excellent. The white rice was very full of flavor. The chicken was also filled bodied burst of flavor. We will come back again, every time we come to Charleston. What a difference from Daytona Beach where I’m from. I love friendly, polite people with smiles on there faces, great attitude. Connor definitely makes Mario’s He’s an asset.
