We were surprised how good the pizza is! It was our first time there, and we ordered a “stuffed” pizza (which means it has another crust on top, more sauce, and more cheese, so it’s double the thickness of a regular pizza for only $4 more!) The large we ordered was about 15 pounds- I kid you not! True Chicago-style (from a native Chicagoan)! Authentic crispy-chewy Italian-bread crust. Delicious sauce, tons of cheese. Atmosphere is nothing special, and service was fine. But you’ll love the pizza. Go with the “stuffed” option – you won’t be sorry

We have been loyal customers for over 15 years. We love the food however, the service was awful even though server Josie was very polite. We were there 2 1/2 hours, waiting 1 1/2 hours for the food to arrive and some items were missing from the menu that we had to ask for. We took our three grand children ranging in ages 4 to 9 and it was very difficult to wait such a long time for the food to arrive. I’m not sure if they were short staffed tonight or not. But, we will not be dining in for quite some time. Hope things get better.

good food, but just picked up my to go order, got home, and was surprised how little the portion size was. $10.95 for ravioli with Alfredo…yea. didn’t even cover the bottom of the pan. Literally 6 ravilos. Same with fettuccine Alfredo my wife got.

Mario. You da man. The chicken parm was gigantic and tasted delicious. I took one look, and didn’t know if I had what it took to finish the whole plate. But I summoned my inner strengths, went to work, and bite by bite, I conquered the chicken parm.
My friend got the Pesto Penne. Direct quote: “sh*t slaps”.

These meals are solely responsible for me winning the triathlon national championship in Milwaukee this weekend.

Mario – forever in our hearts. Much love from Boulder, Colorado.

Screwed up order had to pay for 2 pizzas we didn’t order and had to wait for another entree. We are regulars and everyone makes mistakes but not even an apology!!

We ordered a pan style pizza for carry out and it was okay. It was about 1/2 hour to pick up from when we ordered, so not bad for time.

As for the pizza, I’m really not a picky eater and I love cheese. In fact, I almost ordered ours with extra cheese. However, I’m glad I didn’t as there was so much cheese on this pizza it was really too much (I know there really isn’t ever too much cheese… but there was) Other that, the sauce and pizza didn’t have much flavor. We will certainly give it another shot as this was our first time here. I usually prefer the thin crust, but we ordered pan style for a change of pace, so I’ll probably try the thin crust next time and will change review if it warrants.

For those looking to sit down, there is also inside seating if you would like to eat there.

This is my second review in the last year – a year ago – my review was – Food was good but service was a little slow for dining in.

That changed drastically this past weekend. Our group has held an event in their parking lot during Mukwonago’s Midnight Magic event for approximately the last 10 years, and that was no different this past year.

Shortly after sunset we walked in (Approximately 5pm) – advised them we had 10 people for dinner. We did have to wait approx 20-30 minutes for a group to leave then about another 10 minutes to be seated

We eventually got seated handed menus and then the server left without offering drinks or appetizers. About 20 minutes later I elected to go to the front counter advise the employee that we had been there and were ready to order. The orders were taken without any issues – drinks arrived in a timely manner and we figured due to the size of our group it would be a bit for the food in order for everyone to get served at the same time.

Approximately 45 minutes later 1/2 of the table received their pasta dishes but the remaining people who ordered pizzas continued to wait and wait and wait.

As the people were nearly done with their meals I went to the front and asked what was happening the employee said they had an incident with the pizza maker. I asked how much longer as I still had to work in the early morning hours. He replied 5 minutes.

As time ticked by one of our members noticed a fair amount of food leaving via the takeout window and the front door. We weren’t approached by anyone to explain what happened, refills on drinks, or if we wanted something to tied us over. It was about 10 minutes later some free appetizers arrived but the time was ticking on the food we actually ordered.

I don’t remember what time it was but there was nearly 10 minutes left in the first quarter of the BIG10 Championship Game that I remember started at 7:20pm when our pizza arrived.

I can’t speak for the other patrons but our pizza wasn’t very good. It had a nice crust, the toppings were correct, but the sauce didn’t appear to have any seasoning. After only eating a few pieces I elected just to go up and get the bill and a to-go box. Not sure why I bothered as we didn’t eat another piece.

Over the years the food at Mario’s has been good and I have tipped at least 20% for our orders but this time I hate to say this but it was the worst $28.00 meal and $3 tip I have ever had.

I am new to the area and wanted to try some good pizzeria pizza. Based off of reviews I thought this might be the place. The garlic bread was tasty, nice and buttery. The fried zucchini seemed to have been cooked in old, dirty oil. I didn’t care for the pizza sauce and my pizza was burnt on the bottom. The young cashier was friendly, and the restaurant seemed clean. But, overall it was a big dissappointment.
