I’ve been to Mario’s many times and have generally had good experiences, which is why I wanted to share this feedback in the hope it helps improve future service.
We arrived at 7:30 pm on Sunday Dec 21, 2025 and were seated around 7:45. We place d our order at 8:00 pm, and our food and drinks arrived around 8:20.
My girlfriend ordered an IPA, but the glass was noticeably underfilled. After our food was served, the server did not check on us until she asked if we wanted our food packed, even though we were still eating. This happened twice, which made us feel rushed. At the time, we assumed the restaurant might be closing soon, so we agreed to have the food packed—however, we later noticed other tables were still dining and having drinks when we left.
During the meal, we had to ask for basic items such as pepper for the pasta and red pepper for the pizza, and we were not asked whether we wanted cheese on the pasta, which was unusual based on my previous visits.
After paying around 8:55 pm, I asked for a soda refill while my girlfriend was still eating. When it was brought out, it was placed on the table abruptly without stopping, which made us uncomfortable.
Once we got home, we noticed that the bread that came with the pasta was not packed, even though it was untouched, and most of the vegetable and tomato toppings from our Tex-Mex order were missing.
Although the experience was disappointing, I still left a 10% tip, as I understand everyone can have an off day. That said, we felt rushed and uncomfortable throughout the evening, which was surprising given my past positive experiences at this location.
I’m sharing this feedback so the owner and management are aware, and so similar situations can be avoided in the future. I hope this helps maintain the level of service Mario’s is known for.

If you’re in the mood for Italian food, this is the perfect spot. The food is outstanding—both in quality and portion size—and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server, Jackson, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made sure our dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Tsawwassen, whether you’re visiting or just passing through.

We visited for the first time today, and the atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server, Taiya, made our experience even better with her bright smile, kind explanations, and thoughtful service. My child wanted to have crème brûlée for dessert, but this month’s seasonal flavor was pumpkin spice, so we couldn’t try it this time. We’ll definitely be back in November!

Went in for a late dinner on Sunday night. Busy place, had to sit on their heated patio which originally I didnt want to , turned out to be the perfect temperature and quiet in the corner table. Very nice ambiance in the entire resturant. We ordered our food and it did take a while, our server came out a few times to apologize as there were a few large parties that came in before us. She( really wish i could remember her name such an awesome waitress.( Hopefully the managemnt can figure out who this refers to. We were a party of 4 on the patio at 630 to 730 in the corner. She was great) out food came out and it was well worth the wait. It was steaming hot, amazing flavor on all our dishes. We will definitely come back if in the area again.

First time here on Sunday – place was busy, staff terrific and enjoyed a great seafood pasta dish. Has a varied menu so something for everyone. Will definitely return.

The atmosphere was great. The management greeted us warmly. The waiters were very polite and friendly.
The pizza and pasta were both great. Pizza especially was full of toppings. Unlike the classic Italian style which is not as dense in toppings. We loved it though.

I absolutely love this place! We came across it randomly, as a “near you” recommendation by Google Maps. And let me tell you that the food was SPECTACULAR! I had a special menu item: a Salmon Risotto and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a quesadillas from the happy hour menu and they were really good and very abundant. I loved the atmosphere of this place, fancy but still not so fancy that you actually have to plan to dress up for it, very cozy, and they even have blankets if you decide to sit outside on their patio. I cannot recommend it enough and I cannot wait to go back for more.

My girlfriend and I have came here a couple times now and we are never disappointed. We drive near an hour to dine in and everything is amazing. We usually get the Cajun chicken pasta and their pesto chicken pizza. This is definitely a gem in lower mainland one of maybe a handful. I’m not a big dessert person but their chocolate mudcake and cheesecake is addicting. We got the mudcake with ice cream. Service and the ambiance is also perfect. We’ll always be coming back.

My husband and I stopped in for a couple of quick happy hour appies. We hadn’t had lunch yet so we were a bit hungry. We ordered the calamari and artichoke dip (came with corn taco chips). Both were very tasty. Service was good and we got in and out fairly quickly. Our server was not as pleasant as we would have liked, but maybe she wasn’t having the best day. Not sure.
