In from out of town near the airport for a couple of days and found this absolute amazing spot for a great meal. Truly at home Italian restaurant, great vibe, better food, even better service. If you are staying near EWR grab a quick Uber ride here and enjoy a great meal, not some chain you can get at home anyway.

Let me start by saying I already knew the food was delicious…my wife and I went for dinner last week and yes, make no mistake, this is a pizzeria, but hidden in the back is a cozy dining room in which we both had an amazing meal! Angelina was our server, she was sweet and super attentive! Everything from our appetizer to our dinner to dessert was fantastic! A great hidden gem!

THE OWNER JOE ON Friday Nights is in full CHEF mode . We did not order from the menu and allowed him to curate 5 courses after some quick discussion of our likes . WOW! Is an understatement. The food made to order, the ingredients fresh, the passion and love that went into the dishes came through in the taste . The experience was top notch . So grab your bottle of wine . This is a must try . You will not be disappointed.

We were on our way to Virginia from Boston and really wanted good pizza. Mario’s Famous Pizza definitely delivered. We got a slice of the margarita pizza and Buffalo and pepperoni. We also got garlic knots with marinara sauce. The shop is located across the street from a beautiful pier by the water and we were able to eat outside! It was lovely. The food was amazing!

Impressed with the wide menu selections and quality of food. Although it is small for eat in, they do a remarkable take out business located right off the Elizabethport pier. We ate in their dining area and were a party of 5 adults. The antipasto platter and bruschetta were outstanding and creative. Each entree was very big and took half hone. Above all, Angelina, our waitress/server, was very professional and never jotted down the order which each person tweeked something and she repeated it perfectly and when served, it was exact. That’s what I call a superb waitress!
