I was looking forward to some NY pizza while visiting Saratoga, so I was excited to try Marino’s Pizza… what a mistake. From the weirdly stuck in 2020 atmosphere (restrooms closed due to “Covid” in late 2022?!?) to employees who seemed incredibly angry that you were there and pizza which was just very “meh” with two hot slices piled on top of each other so when you tried to separate them it ripped all the cheese off of one? It didn’t scratch my pizza itch at all and was a very big disappointment.

I went here with my toddler for a late lunch after an event. The subs we got were very good! The low rating is for a few reasons. It took 25 minutes to make two when we were the only ones in the restaurant. They charged without telling us for vegetables on the subs. I’ve never seen a sub shop charge to put vegetables on a sub! They were extremely expensive for subs. They had a public bathroom, but wouldn’t let us use it. My child had to eat with dirty hands when there was a place to wash them that we should have been able to use.

Pizza, wings, subs are all great. Meatball sub stands out. Dare you to finish a whole one. Breads during lunch are a great grab n’ go. Subs are basically an entire Italian loaf. Pizza is tavern style cut in squares. Cash only so you know it’s good. Pro tip – only open one Sunday a year – Super Bowl Sunday.

I love Marino’s Pizza! It is NOT NY thin crust. It’s thicker, but oh so good! You can actually taste the cheese (doesn’t taste like plastic, like in other places). I could eat the pizza sauce by the spoonful (shhh… I actually do!! Lol). Best in Saratoga. This 2 top, large pie will set you back $22. Well worth it! Would feed 4 easily.

Never disappoints! My husband and I have been coming here for many years! Our favorite is the hot pastrami sub! It’s definitely worth every penny. Yes it’s cash only, but they do have an atm right by the counter.
