A Christmas-Eve-Eve Kindness We Won’t Forget
On the eve before Christmas Eve, we stopped by Meet Me at Marie’s and found the doors already closed. The owner was technically off for the night—but when he saw us trying the door, he welcomed us in anyway.
What followed was such a wonderful, unexpected experience. That simple act of kindness turned into a cozy, memorable visit that felt personal and sincere, not rushed or transactional. It’s rare to find places like this anymore—where hospitality truly comes from the heart.
Thank you for the warmth, generosity, and reminder of what the season is really about. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be telling others to meet us at Marie’s. ❤️

Love, love, love this place so much. They make everyone feel like family as you walk in the door, so many events and things to do. $2 wine samples and wine memberships are the best, I can try everything before I decide what I want. Live music, paint and sips, happy hour, business networkingbevents, day parties, graduation parties, retirement parties, just love coming here. There is a small room in the back that looks like a library just so cozy, great girls nite get away! Just here downtown in Waco!! #meetmeatmaries

It was my first time in Waco and I am SO happy I stumbled across Marie’s! I sat at the bar and the service was excellent, attentive, and friendly – the way the staff treated me made me feel like I’ve been a regular for years! The live music was amazing, the vibe was laid back and fun, and the other people at the bar were great!
What a gem.
I’ll be coming back every night I’m here and every night I’m in Waco in the future!

We were in town for a show at the Hippodrome right across the street and the owner gave us an amazing tour of the wines available! We snacked on a cheese board in a chill atmosphere while sipping on some delicious wines. Will definitely come back!

This was a horrible experience. We walked in and there was no customers. The music was so loud it was hard to hear. There was a man and women working behind the bar. The man was so drunk and loud. He insisted we sit a one table even thought I kept saying we wanted to sit at another. He was knocking over chairs. We ended up leaving after 5 minutes. I felt sorry for the girl, she looked embarrassed by his behavior and she said it was her first day.
I have never felt so uncomfortable in an establishment.

Was not there long just for a short meeting but the atmosphere was nice. Loved the $5 happy hour on open bottles would love to go there again and just enjoy myself.

I have now eaten there the pizzas are a little small for the prices but delicious. My wife had the salad trio, and could not eat all of it. The port infused brownie was a little disappointing as it was plain and lacked any port flavor.
I would still recommend and will come back!

We popped in to Marie’s on a Saturday, late afternoon, hoping to enjoy some wine and visit. Our waitress, although very sweet, had brought dirty wine glasses to the table. When we asked her for different glasses, she explained that they had had a big event the night before?? We asked for a wine list next and then were told there wasn’t a wine list, but some sort of machine we could use a prepaid card to get wine from?? The whole experience was getting more strange by the second, so unfortunately we decided to leave.

Very cool classy place to have a specialty cocktail. Xmas drinks were good, some were better than others. Love Xmas band playing was a very nice touch. A few food options in case you need a snack. Service was great, and they made their rounds at good timing. Def recommend to make it a place to stop for a drink in Waco.

Wine and beer to drink. Food that is very good. Live music too. We had the Carnivore Flatbread, Hot Feta Dip, and Port Brownie. Everything tasted delicious. But, the Hot Feta Dip was awesome. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. I recommend Klassy as a great evening out.
