Marie’s Donuts in North Highlands. This donut shop has been around for quite a few years. They are known for their donuts with whipped cream and the apple fritters. All of their donuts are so fresh and addictive. The apple fritters are huge and delicious! The shop is small, quaint and bright inside. There are a few tables inside for those who want to stay a few minutes to enjoy their donut with a cup of coffee. The customer service is always great and the lady taking the orders is always so personable and friendly. If you are ever in the vicinity of this donut shop, stop in and get a few or a dozen fresh and delicious donuts!

Passed by here earlier this afternoon. I had the opportunity to go to Marie’s Donuts today. I just came from school at American River College. When I walked inside, it was peaceful and quiet. I noticed one worker inside. The service was good. The female worker was kind and respectful and had a positive attitude. I ordered two chocolate sprinkled donuts. The service was quick and easy as well. Honestly, I will pass by this donut shop again. The donuts were delicious by the way.

I’m not someone who usually writes reviews, but I felt I needed to share my experience. This was my second visit to Marie’s Donut Shop, and both times the customer service has been surprisingly poor.
I stopped by this morning with my loved ones. We rode our bikes and placed them neatly to the side, leaving plenty of room for customers to enter and exit. Despite that, the owner came out and told us to move them, speaking in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming.
A small business thrives on good service, and unfortunately, that’s not what we experienced today. I hope the staff can take this feedback seriously, because the donuts are good—but the attitude from the owner makes it hard to want to return.

I’m a run coordinator for the city of Sacramento. I host 5K, 10K, and half marathon events. I called ahead of time and the associate on the phone answered all of my questions promptly.
Upon arrival, Kim assisted me with placing my order. I made an order for 12 dozen donut holes for a donut run event. Kim was kind and professional; I was shown what type of donut holes they had. We made a custom order of an assortment of donut holes.
I was told my order would be ready the following morning between ~5-5:30 AM. I picked up my order the following morning around 5 AM with no issues at all.
Thank you Marie’s Donuts for making this a simple process! Our runners loved your donut holes so much! For future donut run events, I’ll be coming here from now on.
