All locals know that breakfast is the top choice here. But they are struggling to make lunch work. Look at this paper thin chicken breast sandwich! I’ve never had one so thin before. The roll had more volume than the protein. The fries were good but also low in volume. The booth we sat in was falling apart and every time the people behind me adjusted sitting I was bouncing. For the record I will go back but only for breakfast.

Hello Guru
First timers here. The food portions will bring me back for sure. However, both meals lacked seasoning. It didn’t have any signature dish to them. The place was jammed packed. So with that being said why haven’t the booths been replaced? They’re uncomfortable!

I visited Marie’s Diner in 2017 with my granddaughter, and I have been a fan of Marie’s ever since! I took both my girlfriends there, Wednesday 18, 2026 and again on Saturday 21st 2026!! Best Food for the money! Enjoyed every bite and ordered take out too! Can’t wait to go back again☺️

Small town diner, big time meals!
We finally ventured here and are so mad at ourselves for taking so long to make it…
The options…oh the options are many.
The servings are plentiful and delicious and the kitchen cranks out the food like a machine! The staff is so amazingly friendly. It’s no wonder there is always a line of people waiting to get in! We will certainly be back…and waiting with everyone else!

This is a great hometown local spot. The dinner has been here a long time. The current owner took it over and steped it up some. The place is usally busy and sometimes there is a wait. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is cooked to order and fresh. They do breakfast all day here also. Any time we eat here or get it to go. The food is always great. The prices are excellent and not over priced. There only 2 things I can say i didn’t care for. The booth we sat at the upholstered seat we both sat on was lumpy and felt tired and the floors always fell greasy. I think it’s the tile and moisture and not grease but it is a little slippery feeling. I like the ower the food and my service here. I would give them 9 out of 10 stars.

It feels unfair to give them this rating but I’ve lived here for 7 years and I have tried to eat here 4 times now. Every time the wait it 40 mins at best maybe 30. So the food looks great but if you are thinking of eating here maybe consider somewhere else as you will be waiting, outside as well.

First let me say that the service was great & the prices are right. No issues there.

However, If you’re looking for African American southern comfort breakfast, this is not the place. Respectfully, this is a Caucasian owned establishment. Nobody that works here is black, and you can absolutely tell by the quality of the food. I was deceived by Yelp & Tik tok reviews -no seasoning on anything, meaning most of the food, lacks flavor, Including the French toast. When we arrived on Monday morning at 11am, this place was packed & there was a 15 min wait. I think we were all here because of the way it’s been surfacing social media. This is far from where I live so I just wanted to give a disclaimer that it’s not worth the hype.
🙁

I ordered the farm hand:
3 pieces of French toast, fried potatoes, bacon, & eggs. The French toast was a 2/10 – soggy, and absolutely no flavor. Almost taste like wheat bread. Not brioche or high quality French toast whatsoever. They look amazing on camera but had absolutely no brown sugar or vanilla flavor. This is just bread dipped in milk & egg. Im a hard French toast lover and these were EXTREMELY underwhelming ! I took one bite and I wanted to cry. I want to add that I’ve been a Head Chef for a breakfast restaurant, so im not just talking here

Steak & Eggs:
They don’t season the steak & they don’t have A1…they offer something else. But it def needs sauce because it lacked flavor. The steak was supposed to be medium well & it was still chewy & tough.

Ambiance: 2/10 this place needs a lot of work done inside. They have the art work covered with white canvas that’s turning brown. It has a nasty feel & it’s pretty closed in. Utensils and condiments need to be replaced, maintained better.

Overall:
The potatoes were the only decent thing I ate and they were ok. 5/10 nothing to be raving about. We’re back at square 1 for Maryland residents and good breakfast options. cooking at home is the only way to go.

It was really great service but super crowded in the doorway. When I got home with my Togo food it looked delicious and the bacon and top pancake was delightful. But it wasn’t until I ate half of the top that I saw the bottom pancake was completely burnt.
It’s definitely good food but I wouldn’t come here commonly if they try to hide burnt food with good food.

Marie’s Diner never disappoints. It does get extremely crowded and busy but that’s a sign on how great this place is. It’s definitely worth the wait! They provide a text update on table wait for those busy days. Marie’s Diner has multiple options and a large menu. I can’t get enough of their Chicken Fried Steak it’s out of this world good. Their French Toast is overall the best in the area beating both Local and Franchise restaurants. The atmosphere is great and has lots of room. The staff is always friendly from the hostess to the servers everyone ensures you’re taken care of. I highly recommend Marie’s Diner and again, it’s worth the wait!

My new favorite place to eat when I want a homecooked meal without effort. Prepare for a wait because this place is no secret. Folks of all shapes, sizes and color clamor for this diner’s food. Not to mention inflation doesn’t seem to have hit this spot. Still true as of March 1, 2025. Run! Go get your name on the call ahead list and thank me later.
