I am so very happy the Treasure Valley has a new Marie Callendar’s Restautant and Pie Shop!
Menu seems updated. It was wonderful. I had a Spinach Quiche with bacon on top. It came with a cup of Soup(Tortilla) and a small Salad. Everything tasted great. They delivered hot honey cornbread with honeybutter when they delivered the teas. My roommate ordered Potato Cheese Soup. Yes, I brought leftovers home. Also bought a whole Rhubarb Pie (just Rhubarb) and a Cherry Pie for Church the next morning.

Missed our old Marie Callendars in Boise and finally got around to visiting the new one. The food was as great as our old one. The spinach bacon quiche was superb with a crisp side of hash browns and toast for $12, a very good value. Can’t wait to try my old favorite Chicken pot pie, it looked fabulous.

Not just pies! Breakfast omelet was really good. Coffee was great! And a nice warm strudel was complimentary. Very nice. The restaurant was very comfortable to eat in, and the accompaniment of music was soft and light. It was all very enjoyable.

If you remember the Marie Calendar’s restaurants of old….this isn’t it….it is a bit simpler…a little toned down, the food is still great, although the menu is smaller and of course the pot pie is still there…but the stars of the show had always been the pies… and they are still bright and shiny in the spotlight. Service is great… friendly and attentive and the restaurant is modern and clean…. they are still that great spot you remember.

Our first time at this new location. We didn’t realize this was as casual an environment as we discovered. An odd mixture between fast casual (i.e. order at the counter and a soda dispenser where you serve yourself) and sit down (i.e. server came to our table and took our order, etc). But, they made it work.
Service was friendly and great.
Food was good. My only feedback is I had a French Dip sandwich. It was flavorful, but usually the bread is sufficently toasted (given you’re dipping it in au jus), which mine wasn’t.
