This is a hidden gem Located in Azusa on Alosta ! One of the last Marie Calenders restaurant ! This one has a beautiful bar with friendly bartenders ! We were greeted then seated ! They were packed ! We ordered the mini chicken pot pie ! Comes with a small salad & a free slice of pie ! Everyone was super nice ! We will be coming back !

Holy smokes, you walk in here on a weekend night and it is full blown alive. The bar is full of jovial people and fast service with an insane happy hour and phenomenal and inexpensive amazing bar food. Marie Calendars…a legit neighborhood hangout gathering spot. And grab a pie to take home. The service here is coordinated, friendly, and on point. Forget what you know about long closed stale restaurants of the past. This is back on the rise along with chilis in LaVerne.

The Marie Callendar’s closest to me closed a while ago, so it has been a while since I’ve dined in one. It wasn’t until our divisional Kiwanis service organization started meeting monthly at this location that I knew there was still a spot sorta close by.

Since our 25+ group met monthly here for dinner, we have a set menu to order off of for ease of both the restaurant and our members. I’ve tried the chicken pot pie, classic french dip sandwich, and the turkey croissant club. Not sure why the chicken pot pie is always labeled as pot pie trio on our menu when an order only comes with one. I’ve enjoyed all three entrees and usually rotate amongst them each time I come.

Our meal also comes with cornbread with honey butter (yummmm) and our choice of pie slice. I usually do lemon meringue, but have taken chocolate cream pie home for BF to enjoy.

Their servers do a great job taking care of our large group. The meeting spot is nice for our size, though it is not sectioned off, so noise from the other customers in the nearby sections carry over to us, sometimes making it hard to hear our presenters and members.

Also plenty of parking in the lot.

Looking forward to my next slice of lemon meringue pie here, with a side of catching up with friends in my Kiwanis group!

Great birthday party for my 89 year old mom with four of us to celebrate !!! Food was outstanding. Service was excellent and we used her birthday $100 gift card and also her free piece of cheesecake. We all left stuffed and happy with leftovers to boot!

I usually love Marie Callenders, but this place is bad. First off, it took forever to get the food, and it was awful. I didn’t get a refill once for my drink. Also, the blonde guy working there was rude to me…

Came to the Azusa location after being disappointed at the West Covina location. We’re so happy we waited and came another day to this location.. from the atmosphere, to the service and food, our first experience was wonderful and very fulfilling. Would definitely drive the extra distance to come back to the Azusa spot!!!

I was craving potato cheese soup , and when I got there it was the worst I have ever tasted! My friend tried the other soups but they were bad too. They offered us a cup of chili, but it was so salty we couldn’t eat that either. I have gone there many times and have never had a problem before but tonight was terrible. I asked for a discount because I didn’t feel like paying $18 for lettuce. The “manager” came to our table and was quite rude but gave us a 15% discount on just salad bar 2.40 each but for this she pointed out that my friend had complained the last time she was there which was totally false!! The friend i was with is a regular there and she told the manager it was not her that had complained explain ing to her that she hadn’t even ordered the salad bar the last few times it was the appetizers in the bar area I could not believe her false accusations and the embarrassment my friend felt!! I wont be going there again. Now I understand why so many locations have closed. At the very least my friend should receive an apology!!!!

Son got chicken & shrimp carbonara, which was sharable portion, and very good, along with the New York cheesecake wich was awesome and huge. Daughter got a slice of custard pie which she loved, I got fish tacos which were large and stuffed full. Def good food. Always have been famous for their pies, but they still deserve it. Great server. Dodgers were on the tele too, so some cheering!

Placed my order online like I do every year. The signs were clear as day. When inside gave the first lady my husband’s name. She answered an incoming call & I politely waited. Another nice lady came asked if I’ve been helped & told I was there for a pick up. She was awesome & we both repeated the order. The type of pies I was there to pick up and gave my husband’s name again. I left very pleased until I opened my pies to find out they were both the wrong pies. I was in disbelief. I never check but I guess we must check every time. Very disappointed to NOT get what my husband paid for. We got a completely wrong order.
