The service and food were excellent! My friend ordered the chicken parmigiana and I had the zuppa di pesce fra diavolo with linguini. It was AMAZING. Even the pasta was cooked to perfection. I skipped my salad and cocktail to save room for my meal and still barely made a dent. There were mussels, scallops, calamari, huge shrimp and a huge piece of haddock in a perfectly spiced fra diavolo. I had to order dessert to go! I got the triple layer coconut cream cake. I’m not a big coconut fan but it was delicious.

Great authentic Italian dinner in a local spot. Small restaurant with charm outside of the busy city. We stopped for a meal before a theater show downtown. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was just as good!

Try the delicious Sunday Sauce with braciole, meatballs, sausage and pork shank…forgetaboutit! We also had the Chicken Marsella and the Calamari scungilli salad which was also awesome. House made short rib Ravioli in a Marsella sauce…yes, please! Give me old school Italian food with huge portions and enough for leftovers! Cozy space with great service. Good desserts, too!

Went for lunch, we ordered the “fried mozzarella “ for an appetizer, ordered the rest of the food all together, waited probably 1/2 an hour for the appetizer.. which was terrible and the sauce was terrible that it sat in.We had ran out of water, never offered bread or anything while waiting nearly an hour, finally the food came out, my husband ordered the broiled scallops, the were tough and chewy, he didn’t even finish one, he said he didn’t want food poisoning, they came on top of linguine which tasted as if it were cooked days before. We obviously won’t return, or recommend.

Quality and authentic Italian! We started with a beautiful burrata caprese salad. My husband had the Ziti, Eggplant & Chicken Parm Platter and I had the Lobster Alfredo Lasagna. We left with two bottles of their homemade sauce as well as pasta to try to create an equally memorable meal at home until we can get back for another truly authentic meal.

This is my second time eating here the 1st time was at the original location and it was good but the new place on Congress St. I was extremely disappointed!! I ordered the Scampi Jumbo with Pasta and the scampi was totally flavorless, the Garlic Bread was greasy and not good either. The Spaghetti and Meatballs was disgusting the meatballs had a truly nasty taste to them and the sauce was terrible. I would NEVER recommend this place especially to anyone that enjoys flavor because this place has NONE!! To spend over $100 and to not even eat 1/4 of the food is crazy. The truly need a new cook!

The folks at Maria’s were very friendly and kind to us and our two young children at supper Wednesday night. Dining with kids can be an adventure but everyone was super nice, including the other customers when our kids would make a little noise here and there. The appetizers were great. Garlic bread cooked perfect. The fried mozzarella was awesome. I like the option to buy a half liter of wine so you don’t have to bother anyone for a second glass. The dinners were great. All the food came out nice and hot! Portions were massive. The desserts were also awesome. Can recommend the chocolate cake for sure. It was nice to see them cleaning and prepping fresh calamari, not frozen pre made stuff. They also cooked it perfectly. Nice and tender and not rubbery. We liked everything we got!

The atmosphere was great but the food was even better. We, a party of four, all were very happy with our entrees. The portions were great and dinner was delicious. Dessert also. The staff were super nice. So good. Will be back for sure.

My wife and I arrived for a weekday lunch. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and even the staff from the open kitchen. The waitress was attentive and explained the days specials and was able to answer our questions regarding certain dishes. Our Caesar salad was large and expertly prepared with a nice hint of vinegar. My sausage caccitore was well balanced with a good deal of sliced sausage links, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, olives, green pepper and onion in a savory tomato sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her scallops and shrimp fra diavlo. Spicy but not so hot that you couldn’t enjoy it. The baked bread was warm and the EVOO with a slice of garlic was perfect for dipping or soaking up the red sauce. A bottle of Bellagio Chianti was reasonably priced, as was the entire meal. Great local spot that we are already looking forward to going to again.

We had a wonderful experience. Our server, Kit, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The Peroni with limoncello was tasty and refreshing. My favorite was the ciabatta burrata, bursting with flavor. My husband enjoyed a jumbo shrimp dish, and I enjoyed a chicken marsala, made by special request. These healthy-portioned entrees were served in skillets. Salads were crispy and fresh, and the bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfetto! We couldn’t stop there, so we shared a cannolo for dessert. We highly recommend Maria’s and plan on returning.
