This is a classic neighborhood pizza place. I’d never been, but with Wing Month now in full swing we had to give them a visit. Upon first inspection the place was clean, clearly popular enough to have orders and customers going in and out, and other than the dining area being very cold, it was like any other pizza place.
We ordered our wings and I had to have a side of curly fries. I got the Thai Peanut, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Garlic (a flavor we hadn’t really seen advertised elsewhere and he was excited to try it).
The wings were well-cooked, crispy, juicy, tender, and had a generous amount of meat on the bones. I found the Thai Peanut sauce to be really tasty, not necessarily something new or unique, but very enjoyable. My boyfriend enjoyed his Spicy Garlic wings, but said it best as “I mean they’re buffalo with extra garlic. Look at the color. The sauce it orange. They’re going to taste like buffalo.”
That being said, he did like them. Our overall thought was that if that was our neighborhood pizza place, we’d be getting our wings from there with no hesitation. They may not have been the best I’ve had in Rhode Island, but they’re still better than some places that specialize in wings.

Stop #9 on RI FOOD FIGHTS 11th Annual Lord of the Pies!!! Good for a cheese pizza and add toppings at your desire… I got a cheese pizza with roasted red peppers, green peppers and mushrooms… And an incredible chocolate walnut brownie! They were fast friendly and will definitely be back in order pizza on the go while I’m out driving!

Marias pizza is soooo delicious I got a small white pie half pepperoni instead of ranch for the sauce i asked for Alfredo.Also an order of lemon pepper wings and let me tell you this was a 10/10!!! the wings were crispy without being burned and the pizza was cooked to perfection! This was my first stop for the RI best pizza award and wow what a start. The sauce has a little something to it that makes it stand out as something special forsure, nice crunch on the pizza as well. Got a chicken shawarma rice bowl as well and honestly that was phenomenal, I asked for extra sauce a they sure did bless me with it haha. Amazing place and will be back!

The food was fine (we ordered pizza and wings). After waiting 40 minutes for our dine-in ordered, I informed the folks behind the counter of our wait time, and requested that the order be changed to to-go. Rather than an apology, I got a massive attitude. This place is poorly managed, at best.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. What I ordered were sweet and sour wings and a large Pepperoni Pizza. What I received was Buffalo wings and a small pepperoni pizza. But this review is based solely on the food. The wings were OK. I was expecting crispy but I got drenched on sauce not crispy. I did like that it was all wings and no drumsticks. The pizza left me wanting. The crust was doughy and soft. The sauce seemed out of a can. I was disappointed. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 6.9.

I stopped into @mariaspizzari for the @rifoodfights #lordofthewings challenge and Maria’s did not disappoint. The staff recommended the mango habanero sauce. The wings were nice and crispy, while still being juicy. The sauce was good but could have been a bit more spicy for my taste but I like heat! Since I was only able to stop at one place, I got a small pizza to go (which I forgot to take a picture of). Now I was introduced to Maria’s in last year’s challenge and have been back a few times. Their pizza is my favorite in RI. It’s a doughy pizza with a crisp crust and a nice sauce. I went with meatballs and sausage and it did not disappoint! Check them out!

Pizza is nothing special. Thin bland crust seems to be the problem. Sause is fairly rich and tasty, cheese was plentiful and ham topping was pretty good. But the crust needs improvement.
