Chef owner serving up is always a pleasure. Great service from the staff. The seafood plateau was a good deal with exceptionally high-quality red, snapper ceviche, smoked tuna dip, and a dozen oysters. My favorite were the murder point oysters. They’re from Alabama. Can’t wait to share this place with other friends and family.

This place had some of the best food we got to eat in New Orleans. My husband got the burger, and it was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was made with brisket and prime rib with jerk spices. It was a perfect blend of heat and flavor. I got the fish sandwich with homemade focaccia. It was so flavorful! I was truly overwhelmed with how wonderful, fresh, and creative the food was here. Our server was fantastic and gave us sime personal suggestions for a while we were in New Orleans. Definitely come here if you want some great flavors in a relaxing, simple atmosphere.

First of all, our server Raul was great. The food was delicious, tasty, plentiful and the right price. We came for happy hour yet ordered off the regular menu since the food looked so good. We were very happy with our meal and we will definitely be back. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Marias Oyster Bar delivers an exceptional seafood experience, the kind that reminds you why fresh, well handled product matters. The oysters were the clear highlight. Served on a bed of pristine ice, each one was plump, cold, and incredibly fresh, with that perfect balance of brine and sweetness that only high quality oysters have. The mignonette, lemon, and horseradish complemented them beautifully without overwhelming their natural flavor.

The ceviche was bright and refreshing, with a clean citrus profile and tender fish that held its texture perfectly. The crispy root vegetable chips added a great contrast and made the whole dish feel thoughtful and well executed. Simple, but done with skill and intention.

The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the service is attentive and professional. You can tell the team respects seafood and treats it with real care.

Marias Oyster Bar is a must visit for anyone who loves seafood prepared the right way. Fresh oysters, balanced dishes, and a comfortable yet elevated setting make it a standout spot. Highly recommended.

Popped in just as they opened because no trip to New Orleans is complete without some oysters right? Glad we stopped here. I got a dozen raw and my other half got the chargrilled ones. So so good. Hit the spot!

Maria’s is serving up something special!
Every dish bursts with flavor and creativity. The oxtail hand pie is simply phenomenal—tender, slow-cooked oxtail wrapped in a buttery, flaky crust that transports you somewhere unforgettable. The seafood gumbo is generously packed with fresh seafood, and the jerk burger delivers an explosion of bold, smoky spice in every bite.

Maria’s is an absolute must-try—you won’t be disappointed!

We had a lovely first dinner sitting at the bar at Maria’s and greatly enjoyed cocktails, gulf oysters, garlic shrimp, gumbo and fresh baked focaccia bread. Small plates which delighted our palates, filled us up, and left us with a glow. Thank you, Fran, for the gin recommendation and our best to the bartender who is back in action!
