I felt so lucky to be recommended this restaurant. It has the best vegan menu, plus all the other traditional plates. I got the vegan enchiladas with vegan horchata. It was delicious and clearly homemade with quality. If you come to Tahoe or pass through, absolutely STOP HERE!

The soyrizo tacos were really good, on homemade tortillas, and came with a side of cilantro rice and nicely seasoned black beans, the sopes were delicious too. Nice vegan chicken, but the potato soyrizo was our favorite. We will return.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the homemade chips. We ordered two burritos: one carne asada and one carnitas. Unfortunately, both were underwhelming. They lacked flavor, had very little meat, and were filled with soggy, overcooked rice. At $16 each, they felt overpriced for the quality.
The first serving of chips and salsa was complimentary, but there was an extra charge for refills.
Overall, the experience was just okay, but the burritos were a real letdown.

Loved it! I am Mexican so ofc I have higher standards when it comes to Mexican food and can tell when something is authentic vs something just pretending to be authentic. This is definitely the real deal! My partner had the quesadillas fritas and the masa alone was super delicious- just the right saltiness and moist texture, just like my aunt made her tamales! I suspect that the masa is made w lard, very delicious! My torta de pierna was very flavorful and out of this world too. Would hands down definitely recommend!

We frequently visit Tahoe and are often so bored of the constant pub fare. This was a wonderful change- I recommend you eat here if you’re looking for consistent good food, good drinks, and attentive service. Pictured are the chips and salsa (complimentary), mango margarita, carne asada nachos, and surf n turf burrito. Steak had a nice char, multiple salsa options, and a wonderful covered patio were all a plus.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I’ve ate at plenty of restaurants that knock you back into your seat and make you question all your previous food choices, but this place may, hands down, have been the best food I’ve ever had, and I’m close with a few top-end chefs in Colorado. Also, I consider myself a bit of a Mexican food connoisseur and chef, and still… Man, it was unbelievably good…
Everything about my dish was perfect. Each ingredient was cooked with the best method to it’s optimal temperature separately and then combined when appropriate. This was truly gourmet tasting food in a small, husband-wife combo ran Mexican restaurant.
ON TOP OF THAT, the service was PHENOMENAL. I swear our waitress had to love her job, because she was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed her company.

Great little place on Lake Tahoe Blvd. We’ve been there half-a-dozen times over the past year and love their El Burrito (chicken), fish tacos, and vegan burrito. We do a lot of Mexican and rank this in our short list of favorites.
