We are so Disappointed in Marías, the last time I went they served some shrimp that was too spicy to eat, two bites of rice and one shrimp that I could eat, I told them, and they told me that’s how they serve them, they took it away and still charged for it. And today my husband was craving a burrito and in Marshall there is no other place to eat on a Sunday night, we went to Marias, again the disappointment appears. I used to really like that restaurant, but not anymore.

A wonderful addition to Marshall. My hubby and I have both enjoyed everything we have tried. The servings are generous, the service is fast and the free chips and salsa when you walk in the door are great too. My current fav are the shrimp enchiladas with red sauce. The seafood portion of the menu is extensive!

Took my mom here for Mothers Day shortly after they opened. Service was amazing! The food was perhaps even better than the service. I made a mistake when ordering and chose the Devils Shrimp or Camarones a la Diabla (bottom plate in photo). Thought I could handle the heat of the dish as I have had it from other places, boy was I wrong. That one is for the most seasoned of spicy eaters. That said, it had three jalapeño symbols next to it and it falls on me not them. It was still delicious and the server made sure to keep bringing me water. The tortilla chips and salsas provided when seated are great too! They were even nice enough to provide my mom a free piece of cake for Mothers Day and that’s the type of thing that will make me a loyal customer forever. Went back a second time since and tried another Shrimp plate that wasn’t spicy and I really enjoyed that too.
It’s cool to have a new place in town and they did some really nice things with the space of the old Pizza place that shut down and we really like the paintings. I have a strong feeling Maria’s is here to stay and possibly expand if possible! Place seems to always be busy and the food honestly speaks for itself. I’m not a fan of Margaritas but both times I’ve been there it seems almost every table has them. Next time I go I’m having Maria’s Fajitas and I’d wager heavy that they’ll be the best thing I’ve had there so far. Both my mom and GF enjoyed what they ordered as well. As of now Maria’s is the best sit-down dining food option in Marshall, by far. If you can’t tell by now I highly recommend it and assure you that you will too.

Maria’s is a gem in a small town. I have enjoyed the enchiladas and the garlic shrimp and both were delicious. The margaritas are consistently good as well. The service is friendly. We often go there as a group of 10 and they have always been accomodating.

Our son recommended we come here for lunch. BEST Mexican food since we left California. Margarita was perfect as was my tostada. My son and husband both said their food was excellent as well. Hope to return before leaving the area. Excellent customer service! Highly recommend!

Maria’s Mexican Restaurant is my go to for Mexican food. They are always consistent with the food and have great customer service. I love the tacos especially their barbacoa taco’s! Highly recommend you check them out when in Marshall. Keep up the great work!

I ordered a bean burrito and what I received was literally just refried beans wrapped in a tortilla. (No cheese, rice, onion, etc.) I was charged $15 for it even tho a normal burrito is 12.50 on the menu.
I live less than a mile away but giving up on Maria’s b/c always disappointed by quality & price. Oaxaquena has way better food at a fraction of the price.
