Local chain serving Italian standards, pizzas & wine in a low-key space with checkered tablecloths.

The food was grest im only giving 4 stars because my grilled chicken on the fettuccine was a little dry. But the service here is always amazing from all the staff.i must say the burrata appetizer is delicious a absolute must.

Absolutely delicious Italian, one of favourites. The eggplant parm is perfection and the angel hair pomodoro couldn’t be better. 100% recommend the food and the service is classic Italian – friendly, funny & feels like family! Denise is just the best!

Last night, we had another great meal at Maria’s Italian Kitchen in Sherman Oaks! As soon as we sat down, the manager on duty came right over to personally welcome us. We also had a nice chat with Zack, who’s waited on us in the past. Our regular Tuesday night server Susan took great care of us, as always……and the dishes we ordered (including pappardelle with Italian sausage) were delicious, as always!
Years back, it was Maria’s food that initially brought us in……it’s just like the Italian food I grew up on in New York! But it’s really Maria’s food AND friendly vibe that have made us longtime loyal customers……Thanks again for everything!!

We were a party of 4 celebrating my brother’s birthday for dinner. From the time we walked in the door, the staff was wishing him a happy birthday. The table & the booth were decorated!
Our server DENISE & Lucy were beyond friendly & patient with our variations when ordering.
We ordered garlic knots, cheese sticks & focaccia bread to munch on before our meals.
We ordered a bottle of Big Red Cabernet.
My Chicken Parmigiana & Spaghetti was cooked to perfection. The portion was abundant & I took half to go for dinner the next day. The others ordered Chicken Parmigiana, Salmon & Chicken Piccata. All the meals were great.
Throughout our dinner, DENISE was checking in to make sure everything was going good.
Refilled drinks (soda & iced tea) without being asked. After our meal, she brought cannolis with a birthday candle for my brother!! He was happy! We were all pleased with our food, service & ambience!! Thank you!

A charming, small Italian restaurant with an authentic feel. The food was excellent overall! We started with the rosemary focaccia, which was amazing, especially for just $1. The calamari fritti was decent but not a standout. For our entrees, we had the grilled salmon and the Gulf shrimp scampi, both of which tasted incredibly delicious and flavorful. Service was okay. The quality of the food made up for it. Highly recommend!

We are regulars at this Maria’s and we have loved coming here for a while now! We spread the love with all our friends and family. It’s one of my mom’s favorite places when she flies in from out of state. We have had impeccable service every time until this last visit. It’s was surprisingly the worst service experience I have EVER had. Like actually ever in my whole life. The man that waited tables that night was really all over the place and I never complain, in fact I’ve never written a negative review before, but the service was so bad I actually feel like I have to say something.. he never touched our table. We ordered bread, no bread – no refills from our server. We asked another male server who brought us our entrees if he could refill us and told him that we had not really been helped by our server and that we had ordered bread but no longer wanted it since our food was now at the table and he apologized and put water in my boyfriends sprite… lol which I guess he just couldn’t tell but that was kind of also a mess. When we finally talked to our waiter later he brought bread over and said it was free, which was the right thing to do, but doesn’t fix anything really, he apologized and took my boyfriend’s glass to “refill it” and then set it down at a different table to help close out a table of people, get them a check, and literally never came back with it the whole time we ate our food. The glass of sprite-water sat at a table we could see for probably 20-30 minutes. And we seriously didn’t see him for that whole period. Granted he did have tables, and we were trying to be patient. So we ate our food with literally no beverage at all. I had drank my water long ago at this point lol. A manager was present and wasn’t touching tables as what I would expect.. especially with how the waiter was running around and forgetting things at more than one table. I heard him apologizing several times.. every step that is usually swift and smooth here, took so much longer and our experience went pretty sour pretty fast. We sat at the table for what felt like forever. We could not get anyone to check on our table even after nicely bringing up the issue to another worker. Have to say, with how expensive it is to eat out, it HAS to be a good experience. It just does. We only eat out maybe once a week and this was a disappointment.

We had the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Penne Arrabiata. For dessert we had the Cannolis. The Rosemary Bread for starters was amazing, and we ended up getting a second basket. The Alfredo was creamy and delicious, and the Arrabiata was the right level of spicy and tasty. The cannolis were as you would expect, pretry good but nothing special. The restaraunt was slow on Monday night, and the service was great! Very good meal all the way around.

A friend recommended Maria’s although they’re a chain franchise. Was pretty disappointed.. originally ordered a pesto brocoli pasta but it came out very soupy and didn’t really taste like anything. I ended up sending the dish back and got regular spaghetti, which was fine but nothing spectacular. The server was very nice and my meal came out quickly. Probably won’t return, as it just wasn’t anything special.

Amazing. Everything, from the food to the service, was amazing. Maria’s warm and delicious signature rosemary bread started us off. Followed by salads and appetizers, which were also fresh and tasty. We had a party of 14 and the only complaint was, “Man, that looks so good, maybe I should have ordered that, too.” Everyone devoured their meals. I had a meatball sub. I don’t know which I enjoyed more, the sweet marinara sauce or the perfectly textured, true Italian bread, but together they made for a fantastic meatball sub! The bread….my goodness. I wish I lived nearby so I could go back for a pizza. The crust must be awesome. Since there was no room for dessert, we took home a cheesecake, which was sinfully creamy! I’m not a “foodie”. I generally don’t write such rave reviews. Maria’s was just really, really good. The server was totally amazing (I wish I knew her name-I didn’t catch it) and the manager even stopped by the table to say hello and ensure that we were enjoying our meal. If your on the fence…its time to jump. Go hungry, becuase you’ll want to eat everything they bring you!
