Stopped in after a hike at Topango Lookout. Our waiter was very nice. The kids’ chicken nugget and pasta kids meal was really good. The seasoning on the chicken was crispy and flavorful 10/10. The bruschetta was fresh, crunchy with the perfect tang. Fettuccine Alfredo was good, but I wouldn’t return for that dish. 4 starts because my main dish was average. If I go back, I will try something else and update my review.

For my birthday I chose to eat Italian food. We stopped by Maria’s Italian kitchen for dinner. The food was amazing! We sat in close outdoors. There was no one else, which it was great. The service was excellent .

This place has great food. I’ve been here a handful of times but the reason I’m writing this review is because of James. He was so sweet and it was such an honor to have him as our server. He went out of his way to make sure we were ok, had an amazing attitude, and was incredibly welcoming as soon as we came in. He’s a great asset to the company and you guys are lucky to have someone who cares about your customers as much as he does.

Eleven of us were able to celebrate a birthday with some privacy seating at the patio. We all enjoyed our selections. I had the penne Primavera with chicken, and my wife, whose birthday it was, had the pesto pasta with chicken. We had enough served to take home for another meal. For dessert, the group loved their cheesecake and crunchy apple.

I had the Meat Lasagna. Overall the lasagna was delicious and the serving size was generous. For dessert I had their cheese cake with must have been made there in the kitchen due to is great taste and serving design. Overall tasted just right the cake was just right in texture, not to rich, and the strawberry sauce adds a bit of tart.

This is my first time in this location as I always go to the one in Encino before. This place has more parking available, atmosphere is a lot better and service is also friendly and helpful. I miss my Italian Chop Salad that I always order in the other location and I’m so glad I’m getting it here now closer. My boyfriend ordered Gnocchi in marinara sauce and it’s delicious. Their wine list is also good and the bread… don’t even forget the great bread.

After frequenting this small chain of restaurants for many years, I went to the Woodland Hills location to have lunch. I just wanted a Panini and a side salad. The server pressed me to order expensive bottled water when I asked for a glass of ice water. I had to insist on ice water. When I ordered a side salad, the server sent me a dinner salad that I couldn’t possibly finish, and being on the run, I had no way of taking it with me. I just wanted to have lunch, and my check was for $31, after the server ran up my check by bringing me a full meal salad when I wanted a side salad. That kind of shameless in up-selling is a permanent dealbreaker for me as a restaurant patron.

We stopped here on the way home from Hollywood and were super happy we did. Maria’s feels like a quaint Italian restaurant, with attentive staff and delicious food. We enjoyed the gnocchi with creamy pesto sauce and the lasagna. We also ordered sides of the broccoli and brussel sprouts. The bread they serve and keep refilling is light and delicious. The gentleman who ran the restaurant the eve we stopped by watched every table and made sure everyone was seated promptly and had what they needed. And our server was polite and checked in with us just right. I was very impressed. It’s been a long time since I’ve had homemade gnocchi that tasted so good. I would highly recommend Maria’s Italian Kitchen.
