This place deserves its own location. My partner and I were met with a kind smile and someone who was just as excited to share their food as we were to try it.

Food court location on the second floor of the mall. Friendly staff; amazingly smoky and flavorful jollof rice with a tender chicken drumstick. Would recommend and come again the next time I’m in Saugus.

Whoever cooks for this restaurant needs to be let go. Food was super ridiculous. Yes, I would provide more context, I got 2 plates of Jollof Rice , meat pie, and your efo riro, and everything tasted absolutely terrible. I wish I took the picture of the meat pie before trashing it, the meat pie looked like it was baked one year ago, the filling in the meat pie was a complete mess. I had to bin it for the fear of food poisoning. Then, to the main dishes, they were overly salted, not fresh, tasted like garbage. My advice to you is stop selling stale food. You mustn’t open for business everyday, close your store on days that you don’t have enough resources to make fresh food. I would never come back here.

I visit Mariam Yummy Kitchen everytime I visit Boston. The food is all organic and tastes great here always. This week, I ate Jollof Rice and later, ate poundo yam and efo riro. They both taste really great. I also tried the meat pie and it was really good. I wanted puff puff but it was not on the menu for the day we visited. I would highly recommend visiting Mariam Yummy Kitchen if you want to try some organic African dishes.

Delicious food, and the woman behind the counter was so nice! Got the jollof rice with stewed chicken. I definitely want to come back some Saturday and try the goat!

Went there to order one thing but the man working there gave us a little sample of everything to help us decide what we wanted. We ended leaving with the beef stew with rice and a side jollof noodles!

The food is something that you wont get anywhere near. True authentic delicious food. Customer service is also awesome, always have a great time talking to the staff. Jollof rice is my favorite, always take some to go for the next day.

Great experience with Nigerian food at the food court of Square One. I wanted to tell everyone else waiting at the chain restaurants that they were in the wrong line! Was really taken care of by the owner, who walked me through a few dishes to find out something I liked. I went with Egusi stew with beef (and also got a taste-test of the puff-puff, basically fried dough and yes of course it should be delicious). The Egusi came with fufu (mashed yam) and that was rib-sticking good. Flavor is really bold and wholesome. I picked up some jollof rice and that was also delicious. The service was top-notch, I felt so welcome like someone was letting me in on a great secret. Really looking forward to the next opportunity to try something from them. Give it a shot, you might be surprised!

It’s a little hard to review because I’ve never had African food before. The soup portion was very small (see picture) in comparison to the $14 price. I had half of the fufu portion leftover because I ran out of soup. The Egusi soup tasted “fishy” and overall I found it very salty and the meat was rock hard… I did enjoy the Jollof rice for the flavor but it was also very dry. Overall, I appreciate the experience and the strong flavors, and would be willing to try other places to compare.
