Stopped in for dinner on a Friday. My husband had a Hawaiian Torta and I had a steak taco and carnitas sope. We both visited the salsa bar, which had 5-7 varieties. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. This has become our favorite spot in Somerset for Mexican.

This new place took over my top favorite Mexican restaurant spot last week. The old place (couple towns from Somerset) had held the title for over 15 years. The flavor of the food here is AMAZING. Best cheese sauce and guacamole I’ve ever had (yes, I know it’s usually always the same). The salsa bar is now necessary for me. Love the pickled onions and carrot/cucumber/onion mix as well. The staff are all super helpful, kind, and very quick. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and homey. Decor is beautiful. I saw things there like what my grandmother used to bring back from trips in the semi with my grandpa when they’d go shopping in Mexico, and it took me back to such a special place. ❤️
We had the fajita chimichangas and churros with ice cream and Jamaica Fresca for dessert. All of it was just perfect! If you want to know what delicious Mexican food tastes like, or you want something new and different but love Mexican food too much to try something else, you gotta go here. This place is the best of its genre in Somerset by far! 10/10 🙂

Somerset has a Mexican restaurant on about every corner. Most are not the kind of place you go back to a second time. We heard friends at work talking about the new Mariachi Taqueria restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Walking in, the first thing we noticed was it was clean. Even the windows were clean and I have come to recognize that if the windows aren’t clean it sends a message about other expectations. The staff is local people who are part of our community. We have met them and know them. We even know their kids at school. They live here, work here and contribute positively. The menu offers a lot of options. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. At other local restaurants, I have come to expect that as soon as I cut my food open the oil begins to run out. But not at Mariachi Taqueria. My food came out of the kitchen and it was fresh made and not oily. My food actually looked and tasted like it was fresh made in the kitchen, just for me. This was a 5 star visit and I am grateful that when I want good Authentic Mexican food in Somerset, we now have a “go to” place to eat. These are good people and they will cook for you like you are family.

First time eating there today. Atmosphere was inviting, festive, decorated nicely for Christmas. Clean. Now on the service and food. Jose greeted us with a smile. We ordered our food and were surprised it came so fast. EVERY bite was a culinary delight. Delicious. The restaurant was very orderly, great selection on the menu, food was great, service was great. I believe this is our new go to for Mexican food in Somerset. 5 star experience. Jose was doing it all, waiting tables, taking orders, etc. Oh ,and a nice little salsa bar. Good luck with this endeavor Jose. I think it’s a winner ! We WILL be back.

Had the Huarache and enchilada… omg. So good and a ton of food for a great price. The people here are so great! If you like spicy, definitely try the salsa bar. It’s included and even the ‘mild’ will surprise you with it’s bite. Will definitely visit again. P.S. ordered a taco bar for my office and now they say I’m the only one allowed to make office catering decisions because the people at Mariachi cooked everything perfectly and did not forget even one request unlike so many places in town we’ve tried to order from. Will be coming here forever.

The food was excellent and the service was first class. My husband had the Steak Fajitas and I had the Burrito Zarape. The chips were warm and crispy and the salsa was delicious. They have options of other spicy salsas you can help yourself to. I will definitely come back. Family oriented atmosphere. The owner himself took our order, served us and even had time to talk with us.
