I ordered a super shrimp burrito . It tasted good, it was heavy on rice and beans but light on shrimp…
They now charge for chips..

I looked at the sign by the cash register and thought that all the appetizers listed were individual sized at $2.50..
After I paid and sat down I realized I paid $4.99 for a small plate of tortilla chips and a small bowl of beans.. Shame on me for not asking the price..
The food was good tasting, but too expensive for what you don’t get..

Love this place. The staff are gracious, courteous and fast! You can pop in for a quick bite or relax with a full meal. TV always showing a game. Authentic!! Virginia Hills in Martinez offers a easy location, with great neighboring businesses like Starbucks, Safeway, pharmacy store and more!

Great spot to come in and grab some Mexican food, tried 3 tacos with an assortment of meat; Chicken, chorizo, steak, and they were absolutely delicious. From the crisp ends to the flavorful tortilla these are great! The refried beans aswell were amazing and some of my favorites. Only thing bringing this review down is the below average rice, however great service and atmosphere are unbelievable for such a hole in the wall spot.

This place was terrible. Is anything made from scratch? The crispy taco shells tasted like store bought shells, the refried beans were bland and had the consistently of bean soup, the lady who took my order was clearly annoyed with my presence. This place should get -5 stars! I’ll never go back.

Unbelievable beautiful GEM of a restaurant in Martinez! WOW! Great authentic Mexican food, great delicious guacamole and chips, Nachos with chicken just WOW! Steak burrito, Chile Verde pro and chicken enchilada, 4 of us shared and was still some leftover to take home, very delicious sauces, meat and over all great restaurant.
Absolute must see and enjoy again and again every time we come to East Bay.

WORST EXPERIENCE!!! After making a mistake on my order, the co-owner who is the son of the owner tall Latino who wears glasses became extremely rude and obnoxious when we couldn’t come to a resolution, he became THREATENING enough to come from behind the counter walk me down TO FIGHT me while my wife held our 8month old baby behind me. DO NOT go to this establishment that is will to choose profanity and PHYSICAL VIOLENCE over proper customer service!
