I’m from DFW who frequents College Station a few times a year. This time, our “softball family” traveled for a HS tournament. I had a recommendation for Maria Mia’s.
It was so easy to work with management on our date and time.
We had roughly 20 adults.
We got there early and pre-gamed at the bar – great service and drinks!
Later, we were sitting at a large table (on time!)
DREW was amazing! He pretty much handled the whole table by himself. I know he had help in the back, but he was the face of the table.
Not ONE complaint. Everyone’s food came out as ordered. Everyone enjoyed their food AND drinks!
As a former server, you know something is going to get messed up, but it didn’t.
I cannot recommend Maria Mia’s enough – and we will certainly be back on our own when we come back to College Station.

When we first arrived we were placed in the middle of the restaurant and we politely requested a different table with a booth and the hostess gave us an attitude while switching our tables. I ordered two enchiladas, the La Lisa and substituted the shredded chicken for ground beef instead. Initially the La Lisa comes with sour cream on it but, I received the wrong order (shredded chicken) and had to send it back. I then asked the waiter for sour cream which took a while to get to me. I get the bill and see I eventually ended up getting charged $2.50 for sour cream! Which is ridiculous! It was supposed to come on my enchiladas!
The ground beef was unseasoned and just okay. The tortilla chips tasted stale and cheap it was very disappointing. I tried my friend’s burrito and it was pretty nasty. Our waiter and the manger were very kind but, the food wasn’t great. The restaurant itself was cozy and clean. If you’re wanting some good Tex Mex food avoid this place and don’t waste your money you’ll find better options elsewhere. Picture of wrong order I had to send back (shredded chicken)

Won’t be going back. I got a supposed Taco Al Carbon and ended up with a small wrapped taco and zero beans, zero rice. The bowl of chips was tiny. 3% charge just to use my card. Over priced big time for what you get; or don’t get. Rather. $8 for ONE taco. ONE! $13 for a drink and taco. This place is out of their minds. Unless you’re wealthy- stay home or go somewhere else.

We were in town for an A&M commencement ceremony and just so happened to get a
hotel room at La Quinta right next door to Maria Mia’s. We got seated and waited on right away. We both ordered frozen margaritas and they tasted wonderful and had quite the punch! You definitely don’t need to order more than one to have a nice buzz! The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. We both ordered quesadillas. I had the vegetarian one and my friend had a chicken quesadilla. They were cooked perfectly and had ample amounts of veggies/chicken and real cheese! The queso was delicious and came to the table piping hot.
The best part of our visit was when Sharon, the manager, came over and sat down with us. She was so kind and made us feel like valued customers. Next time we’re in town, we look forward to visiting Maria Mia’s again.

What happened to Maria mia? We waited 5 minutes at the front desk waiting to be seated and only 3 tables were filled. the server was very nice and did a great job but the fajita didn’t come sizzling, it was very skimpy on the meat and the enchiladas had barley any cheese on them. I love Maria mia but it’s lost its amazing service and epic food if prices go up the portions shouldn’t go down

Love the way the building was decorated. The waiter was very good. His name was Christopher. The rice and fajitas was very good. The red salsa was good. The green salsa was excellent. The onions under the fajitas tasted like they were sautéed in chicken bullion. That I did not care for. It was good. I don’t think I would reorder that dish just bc of that.
