If I could leave 6 stars, I would, but I’ll settle for 5 since that’s the max. Their food truck, Margie’s Southern Cooking 2, came to my work and needed to top off their water, and we were happy to help. Afterward, they turned around and blessed us with free food of our choice, which was incredibly kind and genuinely appreciated. On top of that, they were so polite and friendly. And the FOOD… wow!! I got the rib sandwich (finger licking good!!!), mac and cheese, and jambalaya rice, and it was all absolutely phenomenal. I’ll be looking for them again for sure! This took place on Fort Stewart by the commissary parking lot in case anyone wants to lookout for em!

About the only place in hinesville you can get real food. Taste is perfection and the owner has always been nice when I went in. Support your local businesses. On Doordash a meal was like 14 dollars you can’t beat that price for what you get and it’s probably a little cheaper in person you know how Doordash upcharges.

The bbq on sat was better than anything I’ve had in a while. The drink sizes are generous. They served the best baked beans I’ve ever had. Friendly people. Laid back atmosphere in the dining area. Thank you Margie’s for serving us here in the Hinesville area! I hope many more people come here and have the same great experience that my daughter and I did! Also, my daughter said, “that pink lemonade tastes good!”

This was my first visit and I was a bit disappointed in the food. The menu is preset based on the day of the week. I visited on a Thursday. The smothered pork chop was bland. However, the lima beans were delicious, the corn bread was moist but not sweet, and I enjoyed the banana pudding. Portion wise, my plate was 50% rice with 1 pork chop. Overall, my meal was ok after I added some seasoning. I’d be willing to give them another try, but I’d definitely avoid anything with gravy.

Visited Highway 84 Market where I tried Margie Southern Cooking. Food truck #2. Price was fair at $12 for pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides. The bad, had to throw out half my sandwich, tons of fat and hard stringy pieces. One of the worst pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had. The Baked beans were good. The banana pudding was good but was more like a wafer cake banana flavor as very little pudding. Was good but wasn’t banana pudding.

I’ve tried to buy food from here four times and all four times the hours say they are open but are actually closed. Hours need to be adjusted or availability posted to prevent customers from showing up for what has highly rated food and quality and not being able to order.

Here’s yet another honest review.
This is the definition of hole in the wall, and are typically my favorite types of restaurants.
It’s a food truck with a enclosed lean-to attached on it. They have 3 port-a-cools in it, but I came on a mild summer day, so it was fine.
Everything is clean and efficient. The host was pleasant even though busy.
I got the Monday’s special which is beef stew, and it’s a good one at that. Best one I’ve had in a while. The food was super hot just the way I like it!!!! Only flaw was my cornbread had a burnt bottom. Easy enough fix all she needs to do is put a layer of tin foil under her pan while baking.
Edited::: Still amazing, this food is so good it actually brings me joy!

The best soul food I’ve had here in Hinesville, collard greens, sweet potato, chicken and corn bread omg to die for. The serving is heavy too, worth every dollar.
