Thank you for absolutely crushing it last night for our VIP Hot Cocoa Bar + Igloo experience (in the Margaux Lounge and outside in the domes).
From my very first interaction with Jas (GM of Margaux), to Phil’s thoughtful follow-up, to Hannah greeting us right on time, to Katie wrapping up the evening—your service was exceptional every step of the way. Everything was ready ahead of schedule, perfectly executed, and truly exceeded our expectations.
The details matter, and you nailed them: domes were warmed, the signage, the setup, and especially the extra touch of securing a stencil so our logo could be on the house cookies—so fun, and so appreciated.
I know this was a simple, smaller event, and we’re grateful you took care of it with the same excellence and attention you’d give an event of any size.
Our guests had a fabulous time, and a few even stayed after to keep the evening going at Margaux—an extraordinary finish to an already wonderful night.
Please extend our gratitude to everyone (including the pastry chef) who played a part!

I had my absolute last meal in Grand Rapids here, capping off two years of living in Michigan. This city brought its share of challenges and good times, and choosing Margaux for my final farewell was the perfect choice. The duck confit was done properly—classic and delicious—and the crème brûlée was on point. I highly recommend their lunch menu.

First time eating here, the spread was fresh and fabulous! Great options to choose from for breakfast! I absolutely loved the waffles with the berry sauce pictured here. I wish I took more pictures :/ We also had a gal Jenna helping us, she was fantastic, gave us great options of things to do in the area. Very friendly.

Restaurant is modern well designed.
Bar area is my favorite. Just elegant, comfortable, nice ambiance.

Friendly, attentive service with waterfront peeks. Nice selection of cocktails and cocktails. My guest ordered brunch buffet which was a budget friendly option. He said it was nice and hot but flavors were bland. I really enjoyed a fresh Caesar salad with simple, fresh trout. Truffle fries cooked to perfection. Ordered a bananas foster inspired dessert and an Oreo mousse dessert for fun. The prices are fair. Thank you chef for a nice Valentine’s lunch. Only my dad can make me a slightly better trout but he’s in heaven now so I’ll be back for dinner. Merci beaucoup.

We had a great breackfast on Valentine’s day in Margaux. We didn’t go for the buffet, but ordered à al carte. The buttermilk pancakes, avocado toast and granola parfait were delicious. The capuchino and tea also top-notch.

We stopped by for brunch today . My husband always travels Marriott so we know the hotels well , but were very disappointed with the food and service at this place
We arrived around 12pm . The restaurant was not busy . We had a table in the back of the restaurant which really needed some soul and decoration . It looked sad . The tables had white tablecloths , but they were not ironed well and looked tacky . My husband ordered a smashed burger and an old fashion , I ordered an avocado toast with sunny side eggs . The cocktail arrived after 30 minutes ! in glassware that looked like plastic . The overall cocktail did not look estheatically good . It looked like an ice tea . At 12.50 the food had still not arrived ( 50 min waiting ) . I tried multiple times to catch somebody’s attention , but servers kept going by without watching guests . When I finally inquired , the server explained the kitchen was backed up . I would advise to set these expectations at the onset to avoid frustrations . When the food finally came , it tasted good but did not look great . My avocado toast had scrambled eggs thrown on top of the toast . ( not sunny side up ) and that was about it .
The server apologized for the wait and removed the cocktail from the check . Not his fault . But the place needs to be reviewed for JW Marriott standards . From the server training , uniforms , the food in the buffet and the overall plating of food . Far from being a JW Mariott experience .

Margaux is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it perfect for both a special night out and a relaxed dinner. The food is beautifully prepared with rich, well-balanced flavors, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. The service is attentive and polished without feeling rushed. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish — we will definitely be back.
