To start I have to correct a review on here about the chips and salsa. The refills ARE free on the complimentary chips and salsa.
The food was delicious. I got the Chimichanga with Carnitas meat and I added the queso cheese for an additional $2 with a side of rice and beans. My husband got the Arzo Con Pollo, he substituted the Pollo for shrimp for a $4 upcharge. My daughter got the Texas enchiladas with ground beef. She is very picky so she doesn’t get it with some of the toppings. We went there for her 18th birthday and they gave her the $7.95 fried ice cream for free! That was super kind of them. Overall it was a good experience and good food. We’d go again.

Went for a lunch while camping nearby at Midway Campground – our dog Colt was a big hit with staff, they came out to meet him, brought him bowl of water (that he drank like it was the Best Ever!)
Massive huge pitcher of house Margarita for only $48 gave us SO much more than expected! We refilled our “tall drink glasses each 6 times!”
What a bargain & it’s made strong & so tasty!
You will get drunk if it’s only 2 of you sharing pitcher!
I had Guc & Roll tacos…. OMG highly recommended!
They were packed SO full of meat, and made with 2 corn tortillas each, I split them into 4 taco for us to share!
Patio is clean and our pouch loved the cold bricks for a nice long nap!
Texas Enchiladas my husband devoured in minutes, plate licked clean… LOL… so I assume they were excellent as well!
And OMG the cleanest bathrooms for a Mexican restaurant I’ve ever experienced!
Go here when in Marco!
This is by far The Best Restaurant on Marco Island…. Paws down!

The food was really good and very filling! I really liked the flavor of the Barbacoa and the sauce on top complemented the tortilla and the meat filling as well. I particularly enjoyed the mexican rice and black beans as I thought the black beans had a really nice flavor and complimented the rice well and the dish as a whole. The complementary chips and salsa were an added bonus.

Considering we are out of season and tourism during Season was down almost 6 percent in this area and that at 12:33 pm the 29th of June a Sunday there was one other set of customers
outside and almost no one sitting inside as the parking lot indicates. The service could not be more rude and as if asking why are you here? The Food was great for American Food thus the great Reviews. The tacos were made to taste good for gringos. The charro beans had no taste. The rice might as well have been white rice because no taste either. Worse than the Food was the behavior! I have never been to a
Restaurant in any country that was this rude. IT is worth a twenty minute drive to Naples
To get better Food and better service. If you want Bland Food and Poor service then this place is for you.

We h d a wonderful dinner with friends outside, enjoying the beautiful atmosphere and live music. The food was delicious. Our fajita salad with steak was fresh and flavorful, and the guacamole with chips was perfectly made. Portions were big, and everything was well-prepared. The live music added a great touch to the evening, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for great food, great vibes, and a great time.

Pretty disappointed with most parts of our meal. It feels like there wasn’t much care in the preparation of the food and it’s not very authentic. Feels like they’re cooking for old white people who don’t know any better tbh.

I love Elote street corn normally, but Theirs comes off the cob in a dish and tasted old like it had been sitting in a pot all day and half mush. The tinga and carnita tacos my wife had were unacceptable, dry and lackluster toppings like old tasting shredded processed cheese from the bag. The pitcher of spicy margarita we got barely had any tequila in it and was insanely spicy ( I love spicy margs and spicy food mind you). The only thing that was passable were the birria tacos, they were alright but not excellent, quite soggy. The service was meh and it’s not cheap either. For the price There are a lot of better places on Marco like cafe marquise right next door. I love Mexican food after spending many months traveling in Mexico and had hoped for better so this was a big disappointment. Maybe they had a bad night, but everything that came out of the kitchen missed the mark.

Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant on Marco Island is one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the prices are very fair for the quality you get. Their salad is my absolute favorite—I order it all the time, alternating with the steak, which is also excellent. I have never been disappointed with a meal here, and I always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Our server, Liz, was super knowledgeable and helpful answering questions about what was gluten free and would be safe choices for my daughter who has Celiac disease. She even went back to the kitchen to ask if they could make a fresh batch of beans so my daughter could have some that were safe and they made a fresh batch of refried beans which she said was her favorite part of the meal! The tamales were excellent!
Overall, had a great meal and we were impressed with the waitress!

Food was good as well as the service. The place needs a little cleaning on the outside (door and windows) the entrance has a funny smell. Food is a bit pricey, but I guess it’s because it’s a tourist spot. All orders come with chips and salsa.

Margarita’s Restaurant is a hidden gem located on San Marco Island in Florida. Nestled in a quaint corner of the island, this charming eatery offers a unique dining experience that is sure to delight even the most discerning of palates.

Upon entering Margarita’s Restaurant, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is rustic yet elegant, with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and soft lighting creating a cozy ambiance. The scent of sizzling spices and savory dishes wafted through the air, tantalizing my taste buds and whetting my appetite.

As I settled into my seat, I was greeted by a friendly server who guided me through the menu with expert knowledge and enthusiasm. The menu at Margarita’s Restaurant is a culinary delight, featuring a tantalizing array of dishes inspired by traditional Mexican and Caribbean cuisine. From fresh ceviche to succulent grilled meats, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate.

I decided to start my meal with the house-made guacamole, which was a creamy and flavorful delight. The avocados were perfectly ripe, the tomatoes were juicy and sweet, and the hint of lime added a refreshing zing to the dish. For my main course, I opted for the grilled shrimp tacos, which were a revelation. The shrimp were plump and juicy, the tortillas were warm and soft, and the toppings of fresh salsa and creamy avocado added a burst of freshness to each bite.

As I savored each mouthful, I couldn’t help but marvel at the skill and artistry that went into creating such a delicious meal. The chefs at Margarita’s Restaurant are true masters of their craft, using only the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to create dishes that are both comforting and exciting.

In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Margarita’s Restaurant was impeccable. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions I had. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in the door.

Overall, my experience at Margarita’s Restaurant on San Marco Island was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious food to the warm and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of my meal was a delight for the senses. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content, already looking forward to my next visit.
