Came in for lunch on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised. Rainy day and it was slow. The all you can eat lunch special is a bargain and the first rendering will fill anyone except a football or rugby player. I enjoyed it and will be back.

We visited this location during the week as a party of 10 for a work holiday lunch. Many of the party had never been to a Margaritas before but were really surprised. The service was prompt and accommodating. The food and drinks were the real stars of the show though. Every dish was piping hot and made exactly as requested even with some vegetarian restrictions. The drinks were generous and tasted fantastic. Great experience all around!

The bartender/waitress was very nice, the food looked great. Although we didnt have food, we just had drinks. Over nice place, very clean. parking wasn’t oh so very limited. We were fortunate to get a parking space on the street on left side of Margaritas. Otherwise, nice place, great service and atmosphere, parking very limited at best. I still give them five stars

Upon arrival things seemed ok. It was the last hour of the night. As soon as we were seated some people who loudly claimed to be “regulars” to the bar start playing loud music from a wireless speaker. The music was not that of a Mexican restaurant more like music from an urban night club. Two groups at the bar started to get louder say who came to the restaurant more often. Then then started what came off as a dance and twerk off. It’s was happening so fast. In the mist of this we received out chips and salsa and the chips were cold and tasted like old grease and if cardboard though I’ve never had cardboard it put me in the mind of it. After changing the chips out 3X the server gave up and so did we. Around the same time the people at the bar had started an all out argument face to face. Threats were loud and then a fight broke out. As this happens our server places our food down as if everything is normal. My food was vegetarian but had grilled chicken in it and my woman’s food tasted like the chips, like old grease. We were stunned and didn’t want to get up due to the fight being at the exit door. We sat there and ate what we could. After it was over we received our check. It had 18 percent service charge and a 2 dollar card service fee was added when she returned. As I read the receipt and looked for my server I noticed all the servers and some customers were in a crowd reviewing the brawl that had taken place and was laughing loudly about it. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had in Cooper- Young. We have been in this area as business owners and operators since 2000. Don’t think they will last long with the Cooper Young Association.

Had lunch on the patio, the weather was excellent. My daughter and her Fiance were in my party. Our waitress name was Corena. Had salsa and chips to begin, our waitress was very polite and helpful. Our food arrived hot, fresh, and plentiful. No complaints from our party. Great atmosphere, we will see you all very soon… Thank you for a wonderful lunch

The food was excellent, but they overcharge if you pay with a card. The staff seemed indifferent, especially since I was the last customer. They also automatically add an 18% gratuity and charge extra on the bill for card payments. The atmosphere and music are great, though. I hope they can improve their service and fix the overcharging issue.

They have a sign that says they will charge 18% gratuity on all bills because they have invested in service. I have been to several restaurants in Memphis that does not do this and they have provided amazing service. Took a long time to order or get drinks. Our food did not come out at the same time; about an 8 minute wait. Also we had plastic cutlery with no explanation. Nachos were average at best.
