“I had the pleasure of enjoying some truly authentic Mexican cuisine at this establishment. I ordered the Molcajete Mixto, which was delightful, and the environment was warm and inviting. The cocktail selection was impressive; I particularly enjoyed the Diablo, which I found to be exceptional. Additionally, I tried the Valentin cocktail, made with soursop and strawberry, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for its vibrant flavors reminiscent of northern Mexico. The new ownership has certainly enhanced the culinary experience, and I commend them for their excellent cooking.”

Margaritas restaurant is one of the best places in Redwood City to experience truly authentic Mexican flavors. Every dish takes me back home and brings back memories of the incredible tastes of Mexico. DO NOT EAT HERE! I went here with my parents, asked if they have coffee, they said only instant coffee, so we ordered one. Feeling bad to bring outside drink. They gave an instant coffee in a small plastic container. Thought that was the instant coffee portion. My mom had only one spoon since it was mid day. So i asked for cup of hot water, and drank the rest. Guess what, they charged $3.50 per spoonful of instant coffee adding $7 to the bill without saying anything. I felt robbed. Also the nacho was horrific, not gonna mention it. So please save yourself a money and time, go elsewhere. There are plenty of nice mexican places in the area.

I have been to many Mexican restaurants around the USA and have never seen a restaurant that charges for chips and salsa. First time for me. Bad quality food, beans extremely salty, chips were stale, and rice was cold hard and dry. Service was also not good. I would advise to go elsewhere.

Big plates, friendly service and tasty food. We tried Margaritas’ horchata tonight and we all loved it. And the outdoor seating makes the experience fabulous. Plenty of indoor seating too. We’ll be back soon.

I went there for dinner after watching a band at the square. The drinks were great, the food was just ok. The meat was kind of tough. I usually love fajitas,theirs were just ok.

Nice large portions for a decent price. Very friendly staff, nice outside seating. The ceviche dish was way larger than most other places I visited (usually you get a small cup). Interior is very interesting, with paintings, photos and decorations.

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have higher reviews!!!! Super flavorful and veeery generous servings, the owner has great service and is so kind.
The burrito was $15, two of us shared it and were full, and the quesadilla is only $6 for happy hour ($6 each- margarita, quesadilla, nachos, taquitos from 3-5pm on weekdays).
My friend and I both really enjoyed the meal. Has outdoor seating too.

Had a very good meal at Margaritas. Started with a X Rated Margarita, made with a passion fruit liquor, had a nice flavor.
Shared a El Molcajete. A pippin hot rock bowl, filled with a delicious tomato sauce with cactus, onions and I ordered the combination with steak, chicken and shrimp. Served with wonderful retried beans and Spanish Rice, along with some tortillas.
The restaurant was busy yet we got a table fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. A note, chips and salsa are not a part of the table service, but are on the menu for purchase.

Food was good. I wouldn’t say there is anything amazing about the food (you know what your gonna get). Atmosphere felt a little dated to me but the color pop was nice and festive. Service was good as well!
