Mesa, downtown is under-rated. We were there to check out the downtown. I just saw a parking lot and turned into it. The nice lady opened the door and welcomed us. The wait staff was professional. She suggested plates and what to drink. If you’re not pretentious, you will love the ambience. We did! It seemed like a place you’d find in Mexico. Food was so yummy and healthy! Then a guy walked by us to chat. He was the owner. He was so nice! Then he welcomed us to stay to listen to his live entertainment. He could really do Eagles songs justice. Then he did some Selina song.We were so entertained that night!

Walking distance from the Mesa Arts Center. Staff was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. The bathroom was in bad shape. Bathroom needs a deep cleaning and renovation due to peeling paint and built up dust.

This was the worst experience from the food to the service! I ordered a taco salad that had no lettuce in it! I had to ask for a plate of lettuce to go with my bowl of beans they gave me. I got a small palm size amount of lettuce on that plate! My taco salad looked like they took a can of black beans and poured it in the bottom of the shell. It had all the liquid still in it probably from the can and I had to pour it out on a plate it was so soupy! They say it comes with Jalapeños but they gave me three small pieces. It was not a taco salad. My husband got an enchilada with hardly anything in the middle it was basically a flat tortilla folded over with sauce on top. They used to offer chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants do but now charge $7 for it. My husband had to go to the bar to get his soda refilled because no one came back to see how the meal was and if we needed anything. Then when we were finished we waited 10 minutes and finally got up to find someone to ask for the check. We will never go back to this poorly run establishment!!!

Nachos are amazing, service on a Saturday was pretty impressive. Our Server Carolina was super sweet and had a great personality and was so attentive. Can’t wait to come back

Had a show at the Mess Arts Center and decided to have dinner beforehand. Restaurant was fairly empty since we got there two hours before the show. We ordered the Chile con queso as an appetizer which came out a few minutes before our dinner. That being said, the dip was not hot, thick and grainy like it had been sitting for a while under a heat lamp, certainly not worth the $10 we paid. The food was just okay, service was good, restaurant was clean, don’t think we will be back

We stopped in here for lunch with no expectations and were pleased with our meal. The chips were hearty and crisp but could have used a little more salt (personal preference). The Borracho Beans were super good. I prefer my fish tacos with a lighter batter so I think I will try the grilled shrimp next time. They were still tasty. The shrimp fajitas were delicious. The decor has a fun bright colorful vibe with some super cool art work. The chairs could stand a recovering-the fabric on almost every chair is stained and taints the feel of the place.

Margaritas is a fantastic place to go. I stopped in here with a friend after she recommended it to me and it is easily one of my favorite spots now. The portions are massive but they aren’t just big they are delicious. We started with some drinks which were massive but good and the papas fritas with carne asada and those were amazing, didn’t even need salsa on them. The carne asada was juicy and flavorful, the fries stayed crispy even under the toppings it was so good. Then I got the pollo asado which was so good as well I filled up on the carne and fries so I couldn’t finish the pollo but it tasted just as good as the first few bites I took at the restaurant when I reheated it. I would definitely say to stop in here if you have the chance.

Small cozy Mexican restaurant with wonderful selection of margaritas. We liked the burrito, shrimp tacos, and chicken enchiladas. Tap beers were not always available. Quiet, with a few big screens for watching sports.

I came on a Saturday afternoon, and sat outside. I was by myself with my dog due to it being a beautiful day out. They had one server for the entire patio which bless her heart she was trying, but my food literally came out an hr late and cold. Other people had came and sat down AFTER I ordered and got their food at the same time I did. They attempted to charge me for chips and salsa, but as the server was so slow, a couple walked out without paying for their chips and salsa making it seem free. It was very disappointing watching other people get treated with better service In front of your face.
When my food was cold and dried up with only a little bit of meat. I had to send it back and request a manager. When speaking with the manager, he shared that he would comp my whole bill. I was thankful but disappointed that even though the drinks were good, I would never be returning.
